Types of Survey Responses Survey Responses Responses can be divided into different types o Each type needs to be analyzed in different ways Types: o Nominal – categorical answers with no numerical meaning E.g., What’s your favorite color? Are you a woman or a man? Where are you born? o Ordinal – answers that can be ranked (i.e. greatest to least, biggest to smallest, best to worst, etc.) E.g., What are you top 3 favorite movies, in order?
