I've taken Dr. Myher for both 1050 and 1510. I've always thought her exams were tough, but the more time and effort I put into learning the material, the better I did. Her test are designed to make you think, and make sure you know your material very well. I think both classes are a challenge at times, but overall loved her!! ...Continue reading

Dr. Turchyn genuinely cares about her students. I would consider myself a pretty good student. I always study my ass off TWO weeks in advance for the test. Yes, 4-5 chapters to learn for each test is a lot. But even forgetting that, her tests are IMPOSSIBLE. You could memorize the notes by heart and still get a c. She's passionate about bio but her tests are OVERLY tricky and hard. While it is true that her tests are tough, she gives you all of the materials to do well. Best advice: Re-listen to ALL of her lectures while taking good notes AND do the practice tests and completely understand each question. I got an A on all of the tests, you can too! She's also a cutie. ...Continue reading

Dr. Turchyn is such a great professor. She really cares for her students and wants them to succeed. Her class is very organized and everything on blackboard can be used as a study tool. This class definitely wasn't an easy A she makes you work for it I'm really going to miss Dr. Turchyn when I move up to higher bio courses ...Continue reading

Just be ready to work! Her exams are very tricky, but they are curved. Overall, you REALLY need to work for your grade. Studying is essential on a regular basis. Cramming for exams will do you more harm than good. However, she is very passionate about her job, and is willing to help students. ...Continue reading

This class needs alot of time to study for. comments. Tests are actually easy if you go to lecture, read and listen. It's not Dr. Sodja's fault the university administration made this class for 700 students. It's entry level and most of the students are new freshmen- loud and annoying. It seems they're expecting their hands to be held throughout as if it's high school She gives two chapters in two weeks and she is always quick in finishing up chapters. The good thing is that there is SI sessions for this class! ...Continue reading

Interesting class i took in fall 2014, however, I. Gives sample questions in class that show up on exam too. . like many others, had to basically teach myself EVERYTHING. He seems very confused sometimes in his lectures and very unclear. Tests weren't as tough as i though but the final threw us all off. He mentioned to basically study the previous exams . . DO NOT DO THAT! Learn through ur notes. ...Continue reading

I think everybody who has rated this professor so far is retarded. The class was ridiculously basic and easy. Granted, you have to read the book to do well on tests, but he TELLS you what you should be reading and you have to read for ALL of your other classes, too. ...Continue reading
