If you need to take INTL 3200, try to get Berejikian. The lectures are the only true way to assess what you learn from him. The tests are impossible, and they make up effectively your entire grade. If you take his class, you will NOT get an A, even if you've got a 4.0 going in. Study like crazy, and be super precise on test essays. He has a great philosophy on teaching, and his explains the material VERY well. The only hard part is reading the boring textbooks for the information that he doesn't cover during lecture. Superb teacher though, I wish I could take him again. ...Continue reading

Carmichael was one of my favorite teachers that I have ever had while at UGA. I tool her for INTL 1100, INTL 3200 and INTL 3300. Her lectures are great, but get prepared to read. Daily reading quizzes before each class, a paper due every Monday and she is funny. She is willing to help you if you need help. Attendance policy is crazy. I would any other class with her. Easy class. Allows you to do assignments to make up attendance credit for missing class. I would take her again in a heartbeat. ...Continue reading

Awesome professor. She is an easy A if you pay attention, do the homework quizzes, and GO TO CLASS. Pretty entertaining if you're interested in International Affairs. Have to take INTL3200? Take it with Carmichael. There wasn't a single lecture where we didn't discuss a relevant and interesting issue. One of the coolest things about her is that she uses elaborate analogies to make difficult concepts understandable. She is also extremely helpful during office hours and always willing to talk to you about your future. ...Continue reading

The course load may seem like a lot at first - but the final and midterm are super easy because of it. Her trademark way of organizing the grades/workload does put a good deal of work on you each week (a paper is due summarizing the class content weekly, as well as daily but easy reading quizzes due before class) but it 100% pays off with an incredibly easy to study for midterm and final. She is funny, kind, passionate, and cares. She is so passionate and it really comes through in her lectures. Her class was a piece of cake because she made concepts so easy to understand. You have to read and pay attention in class, but then her midterm and quizzes were super easy. She is literally the best. ...Continue reading

Prof Gallagher can be intimidating, but I think that's what you need in the classroom. Our class was 75--bigger than her usual--so she graded participation differently but it was still important to participate. Statecraft was fascinating and she was really helpful. She's hilarious and smart. She really pushes the students to participate (this is extremely important) and think critically about international relations.
