Literally the most pointless class/teacher I've ever had in my entire undergraduate career. If you want to actually learn something, definitely avoid this class. He's always late, off topic, and wastes so much class time on random videos. Exams and quizzes are straightforward if you just look over the material. What a waste of my time and money. ...Continue reading

I am commenting before I get my final grade...totally nervous about that! He makes the material understandable and relevant. Go to class, keep up on assignments (A LOT OF THEM), read the book and study and you'll do fine. ...Continue reading

AMAZING TEACHER!! But I really want to stress what a nice guy he is. He is approachable and genuinely cares for his students. He does teach the material in a peculiar way but I did learn a lot. I just really like him as a person ^_^ The only way for Steve to give more of himself to his students would be if he kept a sleeping bag in his office, and never left. He lives for us to succeed. His level of dedication inspires me not just as a student, but as a person. Here's a thought: take some responsibility for your own education! ...Continue reading

Best class I've taken. He pretty much goes over the same things in the reading as he does in class. Sniffy sucks and the folders are a big part of your grade so don't wait till last minute. He is funny and really nice. I would take him again. Helpful, nice, and really funny! He really helps you understand the subject. Take him for every psyc class you can! ...Continue reading

The person below has lost it. he takes an active interest in his students, he even took me to get my tower card! He is very approachable as a person and professor. His class is hilarious, nothing is off limits. You still have to work hard for your grade but he makes it not as grueling. . I would defiantly recommend him. ...Continue reading

He is a nice guy, but he is a very bad teacher. He is not organized, and he does not know the material. He is trying to read the notes very fast, and he cannot even provide examples. He frequently uses the phrase it's just a theory and that also shows his incompetence regarding to scientific terminology. ...Continue reading

Fantastic teacher. Funny, kind, and engaging. Passionate about the topic, which is always a plus. You'll need to study before the exams, but as long as you do, you should be fine. The big project is fun and same thing, just follow the directions and you'll do fine. Wonderful professor and class! ...Continue reading

Laraway is a wonderful teacher! His approach is methodical and logical. He's extremely respectful of all viewpoints. He makes himself available to his students. It's important to attend the classes as some test questions reference class activities. I would look forward to taking other classes from Prof. L -- he's GREAT. ...Continue reading

  • Class rating 5/5
Dr. Laraway is a nice guy. He does a great job at explaining the material, tests are not hard but not easy. Has a great sense of humor and understands what it's like to be a student! If class averages are in the B's, you KNOW that he's kind. Provides extra credit, offers coherent and informative lectures, and is very quick to respond to student needs. He always provides real-life examples which help out in understanding concepts. His lectures follow the book so either go to EVERY class or ALWAYS read. ...Continue reading

Dr. Snycerski is pretty hardcore. One lecture and her intelligence will smack you in the face. I've got to say it though--I learned a LOT in this class. By the time you've made it past the first exam, you'll start nerding out exam things in everyday life that are relevant to class material. ...Continue reading

Very funny, engaging lecturer. Prior to this class, I wasn't all that excited about learning principles, but it turned out to be my favorite class last semester! Her passion regarding the subject matter got me more interested in the class. Downside: exams are hard. I'm an A student & felt confident coming out of the exams, but grades didn't reflect ...Continue reading

She seems nice, but her teaching style is not effective. Exams Are very hard, because they are unpredictable. Gives Study guides, but they don't help enough. Her availability to students away from class is inconvenient. The book does not give enough examples to help understand concepts with real life situations, leaving you confused. ...Continue reading

This professor runs this class as if she has a chip on her shoulder, and has her own agenda of some sort. Study guides were not helpful. The exams and final were completely different from what was reviewed. This left me very angry and discouraged. This class was based heavily on 4 exams including the final and a self management project. ***THIS PROFESSOR IS NOT RECOMMENDED*** ...Continue reading

She knows her subject, but she cannot teach. There were no 10-page papers to write, but PPT lectures that were confusing. You would think that 3 exams and a final all 50 M/C questions and a self-management project would be no problem, wrong. Her exams are extremely hard. Not recommended. ...Continue reading

I learned alot, but it was not enough to pass the class. She leaves out a lot of information on projects and you have to figure things out on your own. She will only communicate with you through office hours which are inconvenient or through CANVAS. She takes a long time to answer. The class: 50? exams and a project. Avoid taking this professor. ...Continue reading

Dr. Carr is amazing! You'll be able to drop your lowest exam score and quiz. Her lectures are straightforward and you should keep reviewing your notes. The exams are based on being able to apply what you learned into a scenario instead of what does this mean for example. She does have study guides! A couple in class activities too. Her lectures are very interesting and there are homeworks (1 small paper), but they are easy if you understand the material. Her exams are easy if you do study the material! The lowest exam and quiz scores are dropped (the quizzes are announced ahead of time and are short). She gave us Extra Credit opportunity. Don't need book ...Continue reading

3 exams, 4 quizzes, 1 final. She is so knowledgeable that she applies her knowledge into her teaching style, making it a lot easier to learn. More importantly, whatever you have learned from her class will benefit you for your whole life. She has a very fair grading system (most are multiple-choice and a few fill-in-the-blank questions) with extra credits. Relates topics to situations students can relate so its easier to understand. Very welcoming to comments/questions during lectures. There is quite a study load but its doable since she explains everything so clearly and is very willing to help those in need! ...Continue reading

Show up, do the work, have a good attitude and you'll be fine. ...Continue reading

Amazing professor!! Her lectures are easy to understand and she is very knowledgeable on the subject. 3 quizzes and 4 exams. Let's you drop lowest quiz and exam scores which is really generous. Visited Professor Carr in her office hours to review and she was very helpful and welcoming. Gave us a yummy treat after finals, so nice! Even though the subject was hard to understand, she explained the material really well which made it easier to understand. Attending class is crucial or else you will easily get lost. Her quizzes and exams are challenging so make sure you are studying the material very well. ...Continue reading
