Terrible teacher. Does not know how to connect w students. Going into the final half of my class was no matter what going to fail, the other half was completely dependent on the final as to whether they would pass. Only 4 students were going to pass the class. not easy to get in touch with. if you have questions you're going to have to wait at least a day or two. ...Continue reading

Professor Peters knows math very well. His only problem is he thinks everyone in the class knows it as well as he does. Meaning he knows math I just dont think he know how to teach math to someone in the 50 minutes allowed for class. He does not make you turn in homework but there are quizzes every Friday and he only gives 3 tests 10 problems each ...Continue reading

Hes not very clear on a lot of things and is not very helpful if your struggling. He often spends a lot of time on things that we didn't even need to know. Really just not a very good teacher. ...Continue reading

Great teacher. The online lectures were easy to follow. Good enough that I didn't need to crack either of the books that I bought for the class. The tests were straight forward. Final counted for 40% of my grade and there was an extra credit question that really helped out. I was never left questioning. Dr. Akelbek is very easy to get a hold of, she answered any questions I had. Online quizzes after each assign. , she gives you 5 tries in submitting them. Exams can be done from home, final on campus. Best math teacher! HIGHLY recommended!! ...Continue reading

Hardest class I have ever taken. I would suggest to NOT take this course online. I learned that the first week! Very disorganized. I was studying the wrong chemistry for 2 weeks due to the disorganization on the tutor CD and Manuscript CD. Which helped me fail the first test. ...Continue reading

This is by far the worst teacher I've had to date at weber state. His syllabus is unclear, he doesn't posts quizzes when he's supposed to, you get no response to questions. His study guides leave you more confused then before. ...Continue reading

Wilkinson is a good professor. She teaches you what you need to know but she uses the online assignments in the book and its slightly different from what she teaches in class. Once you get used to the online program the class is easier. Math is tough but if you study for this class you should be fine. ...Continue reading

Professor Haueter is hands down the BEST math 1050 teacher I have ever had! this is my 2nd time taking the course and he teaches the class extremely well. Gordon is an amazing teacher, he was able to put everything into terms i understand. He was patient and made sure I understood all the information. I would not have Graduated on time if it was not for him. ...Continue reading

The first day he told us that he was lazy and laughed and said he noticed previous students that failed and stated that there might be more that fail. He was not helpful, I attempted several times to emailmeettalk with him with things I struggled with and would never respond back. I would not recommend him from someone who struggles with math. ...Continue reading

Going to class is not required, however, he explains the formulas in a much simpler way and highly recommend going whenever possible. All points come from 3 100 point tests, 5 20 point quiz's and a 200 point comprehensive final. Hard class but if you put forth the effort you'll do alright. ...Continue reading

I really enjoyed his class, he explained stuff so much clearer than the book, although book is necessary for assignments. I recommend buying solution manual, doesn't cost much but sometimes you can find similar problems that help you with the ones on assignments. Dr. Akelbek is funny, great teacher and I appreciated his grading method. ...Continue reading

Small summaries every week and then second half of semester two 12-15 page papers. It sounds intimidating but this professor is really good about telling you exactly what he wants. Professor Walker is extremely passionate about Chemistry. He has you do a 40-60 question assignment every chapter. You take tests about every 3 chapters. Lab once a week--(Pre-lab&Report weekly) very manageable work load. He does like to tell stories about Chemistry--sometimes irrelevant sometimes vital information. (Sometimes hard to decide which) ...Continue reading

Professor Walker loves chemistry and obviously has a passion for it. However, he is so smart that sometimes things he says can really confuse students. If you're confused, it's better just to ask one of your classmates or read the book, because you can guarantee that you will be more confused after you talk to him about it. ...Continue reading
