    Attendance doesnt matter, going to class is useless he doesnt teach the material thats on the tests. He tries to be humorous. Takes attendence by a sign in sheet. Tests are open book and open note. Just print your stuff off of the computer! Very easy A, but you don't learn anything. All you have to do is print out the notes and use them for the test.     the tests are hard...well if you read all the chapter and memorize every single word in the chapter than you will surely get an A. Attendence isnt mandatory but you miss out on his lectures which involve current events that make up 5 questions on a 50 question test.     LOTS of extra credit and some of the tests were easy, some of them were real detailed. don't come to class. do every extra credit opportunity because when u decide the class is so easy that you dont need to study for that 5th test, u'll be glad u have all those extra credit points. all notes online (but they're useless). the test is on basically the online practice tests and all the side margin notes in the book. EASY no final exam, just 7 tests and multiple extra credit opportunities. tests are fairly hard, but study the book, the book's website, and current events and youll do alright. ...Continue reading

    fun guy, very energetic and funny. He's a lot clearer about what's going to be on the tests. We went on field trips at least once a week. He's a nice guy and the class wasn't too bad, everyone in the class averaged a B for the course. I wouldn't suggest taking it with 300 students. Read the book, review the notes (which he puts online), and you'll be fine. ...Continue reading

    Very nice guy. Read the text and know the current events and you will be fine. Remember if the chapter is listed on the syllabus, it is game even if it isn't mentioned in class. And do the extra credit. ...Continue reading

    If you have to take this class, take it over the SUMMER! 7 multiple choice tests that get harder but still relatively simple. Study the chapters from the book and do some extra credit and you'll be fine. Also, def look at the book online resource page and memorize them, they're always on tests! ...Continue reading

    7 exams, 50 multiple choice questions, covering 3-4 chapters a test. He gives a TON of extra credit and encourages you to take every opportunity available to earn it. He does sound like a game show host when he lectures which makes the class more enjoyable. Class time usually deals with current news events based on the chapter material. He does cover interesting things, just be sure to attend class almost everyday and study all materials for quizzes and tests since they come straight from the material. ...Continue reading

    By far one of my favorite professors here, and is easily approachable. Makes a potentially boring subject very interesting. His test are HARD! You must read the book because he asks for a lot of names and little things. Study the CD and it will help. Read the current event articles for the quizzes and you will get an A. Take the class!     Funniest Professor yet! They come STRAIGHT from the book and maybe like 5 of them are from class lectures, which he discusses current event articles that relate to the text. He gives you a buttload of extra credit opportunities that you go to and then write a paper on.     I love him! even though you aren't required to go to class, i would because he does current events in class and sometimes tests are half current events...theres an online book study guide, just do the multiple choice, t/f, and flashcards for the chapters and you've got an A...i'd take him again...he's also hilarious Tests are mostly from text. Lectures don't help much. Offers a million extra credit ops so if you can't pass, you are lazy. Read the text, show for class, but do other homework while you're there so you can sign his occasional attendance sheet - get points! ...Continue reading

    The guy is corny as hell, but a good teacher. Do not really need to go because he doesnt take attendance and test are from textbook material. However, a few questions will be on the test from the current events reviewed in the class. Fun and energetic guy, lots of energy. Just read the lessons and current events you should do fine. And do ALL of the extra credit! I got a B Very quirky kind of guy. Attendance is taken by sign in sheet,make friends with your neighbors and skip. That's what I did.     This dude is CrAzY. He's really funny, bouncing off the walls! Unfortunately the lectures had little to do with the actual class and the exams given.     Okay so he is a funny person wants you to really enjoy class. Keeps things interesting sometimes, but really doesnt talk about material in class.     His class has nothing to do with his tests, as long as u study and know everything in the chapters, and read over all the current events you will do well in this class. Lectures have little to do with the tests.unuseful information. It is possible to do good though.current events test and a very clear and easy to read book help out a lot. Use cd in the back of book to study. Attendence taken by sign up sheet, so you don't have to go. He does talk like a game show host which can be really annoying...just use the CD that comes with the book, read, and print off his notes and you'll do good.     He seems like a good guy in the beigng but his tests are rediculously hard for a low level class and EVERYTHING for the test is in the book, not said in lecture...i read the book instead of going to class and i make 8o's Tests are very easy as long as you prepare. He is a very lively teacher, but not the easiest to work with one-on-one. Some days in his class he would just talk about non-sense and ofcourse that was the perfect time to sneak a nap in.     okay people he is not that bad he acts crazy to keep your interet he is the ONLY one teaching 201 and u have to have him in order to take other jour classes wish i had him now bc he has many tests covering 3 chps as opposed to only 2 tests last sem on 15 chps he will b easier now b.c of tests covering less info! if i did it anyone can. Hes scatterbrained and always talks about his cat Sarah. The tests come straight from the book but are really hard b/c there may be 100 pages of text on the test and its impossible to know whats gonna be on the test.     tests are so hard and what he teaches in class is not on test-do the extra credit he offers b/c it adds 5 points to your grade-he is kind of a nice man-go to class daily and make sure he knows your name and the best advice i can give is to sit on the front row and ACT like u are takin notes so he'll think u are tryin! read the articles for current events quizzes and read read read the chapters and take the online tests and you should be okay. too hard for an introductory class.     The skinniest man you'll ever meet. The class was the most pointless thing to attend. He talked about things that had nothing to do with the tests or quizes. He does offer a lot of extra credit but it doesn't always off set your grade. His test are very detail you must read the TEXT but you can flunk every exam which there are 7 of and still pass with an A! YOU MUST DO THE EXTRA CREDIT to get that though!
