Stan is the man. He is always in a good mood, super clear with what we need to know for the test, and is very passionate about this subject. Got out the class with an A. The class can get a little boring at times, but in the end it pays to stay up and focused. Attendance is mandatory IF you want to get an A on the 5 or 6 pop quizzes he gives you in class (which is an attendance check - not based on accuracy). He gives you tons of options to boost your grade (ie, pop quizzes & map quizzes). Definitely take this class! ...Continue reading

Take this man! No textbook means tests are predictable and he gives you all the resources to pass. Beware though, the tests cover a lot of information and you will need to study for them. Good news is that he drops the lowest test grade you have. Save yourself and go to class so you won't miss one of the six pop quizzes he gives (attendance). ...Continue reading

Knox is a good guy! I had to fill my science requirement to graduate. Got a B in this class--I made all A's for 2 semesters (taking MAX load of classes) The class is hard in the sense that his tests try to trick you-- If you can find someone who has his old tests GET THEM!! I found out too late, that those who had access to them were making easy As he's a little weird, but that's what i would expect from a geography teacher. but he's really a nice guy & makes class fun and uses awesome examples. his tests are hard, but that's just because the material is tricky. i would recommend this class, dr. knox is a cool guy. ...Continue reading

His lectures are boring, but go to class because he does 5 random in-class writing assignments. If you're in class, you will make a 100 on them because there is no right or wrong answer he says. Tests are easy and he tells you exactly what's on them. Rent the book to get the key terms for the tests and to review for the tests. Heynen is a gem! He goes over the tests the class before you take them. Homework is extremely easy and helps a lot being that it is worth 45% of your overall grade. There are 5 random in class writing assignments also. He does not want to see anyone do bad. He curved all three of our exams. ...Continue reading

Attendance is 10% of your grade (in class writing assignments) There are 3 tests, no final and he reviews what's on the test beforehand. He let the class lecture flow with interest of students which sometimes took us longer to cover everything in book, but was more interesting than other classes I've taken. Great class and I completely suggest taking it if he teaches again. ...Continue reading

He is a super good dude who makes it very clear he wants everyone to get an A. There are three tests and the class before the test is a review session where he basically tells you what is on it. He does give random writing assignments that can help your grade, so attending class is pretty important. Overall it was a good class, and I came out with an A. He truly wants everyone to get an A. His motto is that he wants everyone to get an A in his class, and he lives up to that motto by making sure this A is easily attainable for those who do the two simple tasks of going to class and doing the weekly assigned homework which takes on average 20 minutes. Go into class the day before the exam and he goes over the test by telling you the stuff you need to know. 5 random writing assignments but they are super easy. I highly recommend this class! All I have to say is TAKE THE CLASS. she is an amazing teacher with a lot to give. get her for this course. you'll like the class for sure. She tells you exactly what's on the tests for the most part. The difference is attendance. Being there for the videos and stuff is the difference in an A & A- but either way its easy. You will genuinely want to attend this class if you sign up for it. 4 in class assignments total to %20 of the grade. Attendance isn't mandatory but you dont want to miss those assignments. I loved having this class although it was a bit boring, but an easy A! She is so inspirational, so passionate, I am so lucky to have had her for GEOG 1101. Highly recommend her to any other student. ...Continue reading

The only grades in this class are three tests they will be the easiest tests you every take if you just go to class. Prepare to be entertained daily by her comments and wardrobe. It definitely pays to participate I raised my hand quite a few times and she took down my name to make sure I got an A. Do not read the book, unless you want to waste your time. Just memorize the key terms she gives you and pay attention to the main ideas! TAKE THIS CLASS She's brilliant and clearly passionate about her subject. The writing assignments are thought-provoking and well worth the time. ...Continue reading

I didnt like just having a mid term and final but she might have changed that. Class was interesting though and she practices what she preaches ...Continue reading

tells you test questions so easy - take if possible She makes very interesting points and is an amazing teacher. Her tests are not difficult at all, and you still learn so much. She gives all the answers/questions in class so you should attend the lectures, but regardless, this class is great, and I highly recommend it. I made a 100 on that test. She can get off on tangents and is very passionate about topics, but I would definitely recommend for a needed World Culture credit. ...Continue reading

In the weeks that I had Dr. Ross (she was out on medical leave the first eight weeks) she made the class simple: come to class, and she would give all the answers to the exam day by day. I bought the textbook for $8 but only read it for confidence she teaches you all you need to know. She is a genuinely caring and thoughtful professor (not to mention funny and entertaining). She was a wonderful professor take her! ...Continue reading
