One of the best teachers I have ever had, if I could I would take a class with him every semester. He really understands a college students life, and tries his best to keep his class do able. Very easy grader. We had a bunch of assignments due mid semester and he said, Screw it just get them to me by the last day. He is that kind of guy. One seminar period we spent looking at pictures of his very fat cat. ...Continue reading

Excellent professor! She grades and returns everything back to you fairly quickly. She's a fair grader, very helpful, and genuinely cares about her students. She's extremely passionate about art/art history, you'll definitely learn a lot. Get a chance to know her a little if you can, her life's story should seriously be a book or documentary. ...Continue reading

Professor Peter was one of the best professors I have ever in my college career. His lectures are clear and concise and will clear up anything that was difficult to understand during seminar. He's very knowledgeable and professional, but is easy to connect with as a person. Grades are based off of 2 papers, participation, midterm/final and some small assignments. ...Continue reading

Another amazing professor the Humanities program has to offer. Not only that, but he is the kindest and smartest person. No wonder he won an award of most outstanding professor this year! The class was not an easy A but his lectures were really enjoyable and very clear. He gives quizzes but is a very fair grader. ...Continue reading

I am so glad I took her class. Always funny and engaging. I learned so much from her! In section, she is definitely tough and a hard grader, but fair. Heavy use of the Socratic method in class, so make sure you come to class prepared! My writing improved SO much over the course of this semester. She taught well and got to the point of her lectures. She loves talking about the popes and their **** children so, watch out for that - it's a kick. But, really, just write well and study for the midterm and final and you'll be great! No worries with her! Oh, and she is so approachable about everything! :) ...Continue reading

She may be scatter-brained at times but she's truly one of the most brilliant and caring professors at SJSU. There is NO chance you'll be able to BS anything. On the other hand, if you go to her office hours she walks you through EVERY LITTLE STEP. So if you have to take this class MAKE SURE you go to her office hours...otherwise I wouldn't recommend her. Course work isn't too tough since she allows unlimited rewrites in the pursuit of teaching proper writing skills. A shame that the semester I had her, my classmates did not take full advantage of her incredible knowledge, mistaking her enthusiastic teaching style as quaint lunacy. The course suffered from the class's mistake. ...Continue reading

Very educated professor. One of the best in the department. Work can be difficult at times, and sometimes she expects too much from her students, but overall a good teacher. She is very slow at grading and returning assignments, but that's understandable as she's very busy. ...Continue reading
