Great class! I learned a lot. It is a lot of work and a lot is expected from you for a 200 level class, but it is worth the work. He's old fashioned lecture-style, but he is a really good lecturer. ...Continue reading

He' an old fashioned teacher, but still very interesting. ...Continue reading

Dr. Hannah is a new to teaching, but he's awesome. ...Continue reading

  • Class rating 5/5
She is a really inspiring person and a great prof! Her teaching style is very much for beginners to college and as a senior I found myself really bored that she repeated herself so much. However, her tests are really confusing so study A LOT. Overall interesting class and fun to see someone that cares so much about what she teaches! ...Continue reading

Vicky Lawson is an excellent teacher is clearly passionate about her work/subject. She really knows her stuff and cares about what she is teaching as well as what her students think. Go to class because the slides wont help you at all. But I thought it was and interesting and easy class! Her lectures are exceptional and if you are dedicated to learning with her, he classes are not difficult. ...Continue reading

I would also not recommend this class to anyone but a freshman. If you want a good grade, attend all classes and read the material. The tests are easy, but designed so that you have to have read all the course packet material. ...Continue reading

  • Class rating 5/5
She is a very good lecturer and her british accent is adorable Prof Lawson is one of the top geog profs in the nations and was the head of the AAG. She is really into her material, quite the radical. It is a fairly easy class but at the same time really makes you think about the bigger picture. Also a good class for a Senior who needs IS credit. ...Continue reading

Great class for someone thinking about majoring in Geog. i would only reccomend this course for a freshman. ...Continue reading

  • Class rating 5/5
Prof. Lawson's lectures do repeat, but I appreciated thsi aspect because the material covers so a large time span that a brief synopsis of where we left off always helped me. I would reccommend this class! ...Continue reading

  • Class rating 5/5
the information covered in this class is good, but the problem is that the pace is VERY slow- she often restates portions of the previous day's lectures in a different way, so its easy to skip. ...Continue reading

  • Class rating 4/5
She is a very nice lady and makes the class interesting. ...Continue reading

  • Class rating 4/5
Not an easy A, only because of random pop quizzes . Lectures can be boring but she and the TAs all are willing and want to give extra help. People who are complaining about exams/essays really probably aren't putting in any effort. If you give some effort and time each week, you will succeed in the class. The topic is very interesting and relevant! I really liked her class, and learned a lot. it was very eye opening, however she is very hard to understand when she speaks. ...Continue reading

  • Class rating 3/5
Monica knows her material very well. Can be vague while explaining concepts and drifts away from main idea a lot, making memorizing for tests difficult. Tests are hard and not clear. ...Continue reading

  • Class rating 4/5
Monica is a good teacher who knows the material. Easy multiple choice tests with long essay question (just cram beforehand and you'll do fine). One big paper due with smaller assignments due throughout the course. And weekly discussion board! ...Continue reading

  • Class rating 3/5
Great person to speak to one on one, but hard to understand in class because of a thick accent. ...Continue reading

  • Class rating 3/5
The lectures have good information in them, but they're WAY too long. 50 minute lectures would make the class infinitely better. The grading criteria is also not very clear for the papers. The quizzes are also based on reading that *seems* optional because it is rarely or never discussed in lecture. Make sure to send her professional emails! Her lectures tend to be long and boring, especially because she mainly reads off of her Power Point slides 99% of the time. It was an enjoyable class, but definitely could have been made better. ...Continue reading

  • Class rating 1/5
I find her unclear in explaining important terms, assignment requirements, and exam expectations. ...Continue reading

  • Class rating 1/5
The content of the class wouldn't be difficult if it were explained well, but you're left teaching yourself. Expect at least 2-3 hours of reading per week that won't be mentioned in class. Pop quizzes force you to attend the boring lectures. Weekly discussion posts take time and don't add anything. Dreaded going to class and glad it's over. ...Continue reading

Pretty decent teacher, but he crams an insane amount of material into the 50 minute long exams. He lectures pretty fast, but is redundant so it's really not a problem. Cancelled class on nearly every Thursday. Super chill guy. ...Continue reading

This dude is a complete bro. There's no written homework and he doesn't hold Thursday lectures so he can have more office hours. ...Continue reading
