His class is very simplistic, however, wording on the test can be confusing so study the handouts and know the vocabulary and you will be good. ...Continue reading

He was by far one of the worst professors I had the privilege of taking at Texas State. The other teachers give reviews and are easy A/B... if your looking to get by easily dont choose this guy. He was rude to all the students in class. he called us dumb (I'm putting that nicely) everyday. If you walked out to go to the bathroom he'd lock you out then laugh at you. His lectures didn't make sense. He'd talk in circles. His note formatting was confusing. ...Continue reading

Take the other professors for 1320 political science, He rambles all class and before the tests he just expects you to teach yourself everything through the book. ...Continue reading

Frances Horne is a really sweet man. If you are a student who is determine to pass, you will succeed. However, if you are just taking this curse to get by, you are in the wrong class. If you want a challenge, this is definitely the class to take. As mentioned before, as long as you try you won't fail. Don't skip class and memorize PowerPoint. ...Continue reading

As a person, I like this professor. Test reviews with 300+ questions (not all the answers on the study guide are correct) and only like 92 questions were on each tests. Tests are graded out of uncommon amount of points (80, 70, 80, 60). Babbles on about irrelevant things, double check scantrons makes sure they are graded correctly He rambles all class, the review which he hands out the day before the test is not even helpful, it only mimics like 10 of the actual test questions and the others are often off topic. I am a straight A student/Honors student currently making a C because of this class. Do not be fooled by anyone who has given him a good review. ...Continue reading

Went to class everyday, some days he took attendance. He's got the silly old guy thing in his favor. But he doesn't communicate clearly. The tests include a lot of content that is never specifically discussed and it very hard to find elsewhere. His reviews are 200 questions long. He's got some crazy expectations, but at the very least he curves the grade. ...Continue reading

  • Class rating 5/5
He is really energetic in lecture which really helps a lot. All of his tests are completely open response with a 3 page essay. The tests are kind of hard but as long as you basically memorize your notes, you're golden! He's very helpful and he wants you to KNOW the information. I really enjoyed him and would recommend him. Difficult, but I would do it over again in a heartbeat. Very organized, you will always be on track and always know what is expected of you on the tests. ...Continue reading

I loved his lectures, they were funny, and informational, but his tests were incredibly difficult no matter how much I studied, I couldn't bring my grade up. HAVE to go to class because all tests are from lecture. BUT you can't even type all the things he says because he talks WAY too fast and WONT repeat himself. Tests include random information never mentioned in lecture. DO NOT TAKE HIM. Take online or other ways. I have never had this BAD of a professor. ...Continue reading

He is a very smart person, but has no idea how to explain things to his students. His test are half fill in the blank and half multiple choice, they are very hard! Don't expect to just see the same questions from the homework, he makes up hard questions for his test. Also, if you ask for help he will make you feel really dumb. Professor Doescher is a very nice man but a terrible teacher. He does not know how to get information across to students and confuses everyone when he tries to explain things. His tests are nothing like what is covered in class and are extremely hard. I could go on and on but DO NOT TAKE ...Continue reading

She is very, very, rude and sarcastic. It's a lot like she bounced around from point to point and never really addressed a point to its entirety. I would not recommend her class to anyone. I missed 2 classes the whole semester and had to reteach myself from the textbook no matter how close attention I paid. She has a accent that is not understandable. She stutters. I studied very hard for this course and the tests were too hard, nothing like her reviews and it focuses on little things instead of the basics of biology like it should. She teaches the class like we are all biology majors. Please do not take her. ...Continue reading

Chandler was the worst professor I had this semester. She's hard to understand and her powerpoints and notes are poorly organized. Book is a must have in order to pass. Quizzes are awful. Dr. Chandler, while teaching Biology for NON-MAJORS, believes everyone should, and will, be in the science field. She told a music major that the student wouldn't get anywhere in life. She seems mean at first, but is super sweet&loves what she teaches. you will learn cool random facts (blue Dress or gold)She gives out a ton of extra credit(20). I took Mount over the summer and it wasn't terrible but definitely do-able. If you're bad or are scared for physics she's the one to take. Gives SO MUCH extra credit. 4 exams and a final. 4 group exams which are extra credit 20 pts each. group quizzes at the end of every class. She wants you to do well. Online homework sucks but it could be worse, just google. Fairly easy A. DONT need textbook.
