Professor Reviews in MATH 3339

Very clear in lectures. She records lectures, holds review sessions, and will help you with questions over email (promptly!). The homeworks are kind of tough, but the tests are pretty simple as long as you go to lecture. She gives extra credit for going to class, attending the review sessions, and asking questions. Gives a good amount of extra credit, posts online videos and notes, and holds problem sessions (basically free online tutoring). She explains the material well, gets right to the point, and gives great reviews (for extra points!). Take her if you can. She is one of the best professors I've had. ...Continue reading

Professor George goes above and beyond. Will answer questions after lectures and holds office hrs too. Test are similar to reviews. Lots of hw and quizzes. Be active, participation matters. 2 mid terms and final that replaces lowest midterm. Would take again and highly recommend for stats. Took online. ...Continue reading

Okay first of all, definitely not the best professor around. Lectures were unclear and not very structured. Wants to see a set percentage of students fail his class, and wants only the best students to pass. Equivalent of trying to swim in open water with a 45Ib weight tied to your chest. Test averages were in the 40's - 3 exams 1 optional final 2 hw's. Good luck ...Continue reading

    1. He is a storyteller and will ramble 2. DO THE PRACTICE EXAMS NO MATTER WHAT 3. if you want to understand and learn, READ THE BOOK and do the practice problems in the syllabus (some practice problems will reappear in hwtests) 4. Explain everything you do, the more the better (ask yourself WHY) 5. Not impossible to get an A. I know many that did. If you absolutely have to take him, read the book, do the practice problems in the syllabus, and the old exams because many of these problems appear on the actual test. I was often confused in class. Most of the learning you have to do on your own. Lots of bonus & lenient grading scale. ...Continue reading

Please, I am begging you do not take this class. Save yourselves!! Not worth the time, effort, or money. Do not give him a reason to be here! Horrible teacher, off track most times, attitude when asked questions, oddly phrased questions on tests, I learned nothing. Can't teach, arrogant, and always late. I had As in cal 1 & 2,Please don't!!!!!!! ...Continue reading

Worst professor I have ever taken in my life! Which at one point become letters and confusion. He's not great at teaching. I found that the lectures on youtube were much better. 2 test, hw every 2 weeks, in all, counts as test grade, and one final. I normally try to abstain from writing bad comments about any professor, but he is literally the worst professor in this school. I went to his office many times through out the semester and he was rude and unapproachable. The bad comments here are so true. Do not take him at all, if you love yourself! ...Continue reading

He likes to spend most the lecture deriving theorems etc. ...Continue reading

I wish he would curve because I really study but it just won't help because his tests are so hard...hard...hard...hard. It needs to be easier or he needs to give us a review before the test. ...Continue reading
