She always says her midterm and final are hard, but in reality they are super easy. Very easy to make an A if you participate in class. TA's are also very helpful in this class! Recommend. Also, a huge bonus is that she gives you the lab manual so you do not have to purchase it. ...Continue reading

Horrible. Makes you buy her online text, and it is terribly written. Can not control a classroom because she is a terrible teacher. ...Continue reading

Professor Sweetman is a pretty cool guy. He post all the notes on blackboard. The quizes were online w/ multiple chances to retake them to get an A. And there are millions of ways to get extra credit. There are 2 exams and a final, not hard at all IF you go to class and take the notes from the PowerPoints. There is an online textbook for this class, but you will not need it AT ALL. All quizzes are on Blackboard and exam curriculum is from the notes in class. ...Continue reading

I had her for BIO 1 and loved her. She is nice and very helpful. Topics get tricky near the end, but she curves tests and will always help you. You have a quiz once a week, but they are pretty easy. As long as you do the work, it is an easy A. She can get boring, but she posts all power points online. ...Continue reading

Hardest tests I've ever had. Just stay away from her. Do whatever you have to do to not have her. It's a four credit class, so the C I'm about to get is going to kill my GPA. Trust me. Unless you're a science major, you will struggle. No amount of studying will help. Her lectures are impossible to follow along with. ...Continue reading

  • Class rating 5/5
The tests come straight from her lecture, which the powerpoint for is online. I did have to start studying a lot for the tests because she asks a lot of specifics. It's pretty hard for a gen ed. biology class, but I feel like part of that isn't her fault. She does her best to make class engaging and gives extra credit at the end of the semester. ...Continue reading

His class is not bad, if you go to class and keep up with your homework you'll do fine. He can be kind of rude and talk to his students like they're five. Over all, he's a good teacher and is always there to help whenever you need it and is very clear about that. His tests aren't awful, compared to other professors but you definitely need to study ...Continue reading

Whitson definitely tries her hardest to break down a subject that can be difficult for many to grasp. She offers plenty of extra credit. There are only 4 tests though, which aren't too bad as long as you study. Quizzes can be pretty difficult if you don't study the concepts. However, she's a great resource and more than willing to help. ...Continue reading

Chemistry is very hard in general without a lot of prior knowledge. However, Dr. Whitson tries her best to teach the material without making it super hard. Tests are difficult, but if you study like she recommends you will do good. Very helpful compared to other Chem professors. ...Continue reading

Geology is not my strongest subject at all. The tests are multiple choice & have a lot of information on them, so study a week in advance. WHATEVER YOU DO, DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR. Look, she's a nice person outside of the classroom, but she's genuinely the worst instructor I've ever had in my schooling career. Here's the reasons: makes mistakes in class, unrealistic tests, majority online homework, reads off power points, and breezes through the more challenging concepts. ...Continue reading

This class is a bit more strenuous than a gen ed class should be. Baxley means well, but the 'quizzes' he gives every other week might as well be called tests. If memorization is not your thing, don't take this class. 5 'quizzes', one paper, a midterm, and a final. I do respect his attempts to make it interesting, but it was so much memorization. ...Continue reading
