VERY difficult tests. Prepare to study a lot, otherwise fascinating class, i have yet to miss a lecture. Lab is easy. If you take the class be prepared to work more than you have before. ...Continue reading

she's obviously a genius and is extremely willing to do most anything to help students. her lectures are interesting, but she sometimes puts random diagrams/graphs on them without explaining them. the tests were often hard to predict and seemed random, but she was generous with curving and extra credit ...Continue reading

For this Brit Lit course, Prof. Conlee gave 6 quizzes (which are really specific), 2 papers, a take home midterm and a final. If you are not an excellent reader or if English is your second language, this may not be the class for you. Sparknotes is helpful, but relying on that wout reading the material will not help you pass. SHOW UP in lectures. ...Continue reading

Very knowledgeable about Russia. Kinda annoying lecturer. Not too difficult of a grader. ...Continue reading

Great prof. Interesting, won't put you to sleep and is very willing to talk to you outside of class both in a formal and friendly manner. Slightly unprepared at times, but this makes him identify easily with problems his students have. ...Continue reading

This guy is really cool...Very knowledgeable and quite hillarious...If you know a lot about politics, his jokes are even funnier than they would normally be...Grading is not bad at all...He seems like he really wants people to do well...Overall great teacher...It's worth it just to hear his commentary! ...Continue reading

She's one of my favorite people and easily the best teacher I've ever had, even counting high school etc. Seriously, take her class even if languages aren't your thing. She's one of the nicest people I've ever met, super helpful, and cares about each student. She gets grades in the day after they're due and takes time to evaluate each student in detail. Gave me a huge interest in Italian! Taking Italian with her was the best decision I've made here - I didn't think I would be good at learning a language but she's so encouraging and enthusiastic that Italian is now a huge part of my life! She's a natural teacher with a kind soul. ...Continue reading

  • Class rating 4/5
Professor Norman clearly knows what she's talking about. As a senior Government major, she still managed to make an intro class both stimulating and engaging. She gives great readings and is very reasonable and approachable. For this class, you get out what you put in. If I had the opportunity I would definitely take more classes with her! ...Continue reading

  • Class rating 2/5
Professor Norman isn't the clearest lecturer, but you can tell that she's passionate about her field. The amount of reading could be condensed and their purpose could be better explained. Expectations are sometimes muddled, but it's not impossible to do well. She also converts all grades to a GPA scale. So she'll write 3.75 on a paper, then avg. ...Continue reading
