Nice guy, terrible teacher. Lectures were hard to understand because of his speech and were very unorganized. Exams were nothing like the lecture or homework. Overall very poor instructor I would NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR ...Continue reading

I like him a lot, but he seemed distracted this semester by other things. reccomend Buck. Best teacher there is Most of the time lecture was very beneficial, but sometimes he would go very fast and not really make it clear what he was doing or why he was doing it. I'm not a math person, so the material (especially the last half) was pretty difficult for me. ...Continue reading

If he isn't a speedfreak, it must have been hereditary. Think Henry Rollins as Thor, but taller. I don't see why more people don't show up for his class. Any more accommodating, he'd write the essays for you. ...Continue reading

Dr. Farley was great, especially for it being dense subject material. Keep your phone away or he will call you out in front of the class. There are a lot of extra credit opportunities and if you use them you will get an A. Two papers, 10 quizzes, a midterm and a final are the only grades but don't let that scare you. Interesting subject and fun prof. Theres two short papers, two exmas, lots of ways to get extra credit. ...Continue reading

Farley's lectures are okay but sometimes it gets boring. He is very enthusiastic about philosophy, he explains everything very clearly. Also, he is available for meetings in his office if you ever need any help with anything. ...Continue reading

Good dude very understanding. As long as you go to class and take great notes you will get an A. He gives SO MUCH extra credit and the midterm and final are EXACTLY like the study guides (They are long though). Text book definitely not necessary, the notes get you through the class. ...Continue reading

He is not a very good teacher, but the material is so easy he doesnt need to be. As long as you go to class and pay attention, you will be fine. There are quizzes every week in recitation, my TA would go over the quiz every time before we took it so I got As on every one. The tests were easy, as long as you can do the homework easily. ...Continue reading

Very tough, but she usually was helpful if you didnt understand anything. Dont take 101 if you dont understand phil or if u are just taking it for fun, that was my mistake. Miss one homework assignment and u fail. Late and you fail. Concepts were hard to grasp but she repeated everything if you needed it. Tough class, i didnt like the class, but she was helpful. Yeah she throws tantrums once in a while, but students deserved it mostly. I thought she was fair. ...Continue reading

This class is very easy if you study. I have never seen anyone who takes the time to study do badly in this class, it's the people who don't attend and think learning characters is unnecessary that fail. Lanhui takes the time to get to know her students and is very personable and helpful. Additionally, she's adorable and has great fashion sense :) ...Continue reading

This class is actually fairly easy. Attendance is not mandatory so I tend to not go to many classes. She posts all of the lectures online so there's really no point in going to class unless to want extra credit. The lectures are the usual. The tests aren't hard besides the essay questions. Just review the notes and you will pass with no problem! ...Continue reading

Be wary of any teacher who gives you a speech with instructions about how they want you to fill out their evaluation. We had a substitute for one day who taught us more material than she did the whole semester. Take her if you want to get out of class after only 15 minutes EVERY DAY... it'll bite you in the a** when it's time for the dept final. ...Continue reading
