Actually one of the worst teachers I have ever had. Teaches for the test. His lectures are geared at what's going to be on his tests. He goes off on so many tangents during class that you feel like you have waisted 2 1/2 hours by the end. ...Continue reading

Lots of outside work but a great class. ...Continue reading

As I love drawing, I thought I would love this class. However, drawing became something I dreaded. Her teaching style was to have the class watch her draw, & while she is talented, I never felt she was teaching me. She grades really tough and expects you to put in a LOT of time for each project. Only class I've ever not received an A. ...Continue reading

You can grow a lot from one of her design classes. She really emphasizes making mistakes and really will not let you absolutely fail. She may give some tough feedback and expect extremely high quality, but it is definitely worth taking her. ...Continue reading

I hated this man. He verbally abused me honestly. I am a photo major, not an illustrator, I did improve in his class which is all he asked however, he constantly gave me C's and told me I didn't try (which I tried harder than anyone else). He humiliated me in front of the whole class to the point I had to leave. Drop him. You've been warned. ...Continue reading

Be ready to have to do a LOT of sketchbook work, practice assignments, and then the actual projects. She talks for the first hour or so about the same things, just repeating herself, and then you finally get to draw. Share the textbook if she makes you get one, not worth getting your own. ...Continue reading

This class is for students who have a talent for drawing and not for those who have no experience. Shes a hard grader and would leave me in tears sometimes after class. In all she wasn't the right fit for me and I will not take her class again ...Continue reading

Her lectures are about an hour long and she always gives you time to work on your projects during class. Expect to keep up with your sketchbook because it does count for your grade. She's a really funny and interesting woman and I never felt like she didn't like what she does. ...Continue reading

best drawing professor! you should really take this class. ...Continue reading

  • Class rating 4/5
He's absolutely the kindest professor here hands down always willing to help you out and is very understanding even if you can't draw to save your life (like me). He made what i thought was going to be a super hard class into something that I enjoyed and wasn't too bad at all. Great for beginners. ...Continue reading

He is wonderful! YOU SHOULD TAKE HIS CLASS. He is one of those teachers that brings out the inner artist in you. ...Continue reading

  • Class rating 3/5
She makes art history interesting during the lectures, but she loves group projects so make sure you find reliable people to work with. She is an insanely tough grader, there is no way you can make above a high B unless you devote your entire life to the class, and probably not even then. ...Continue reading

  • Class rating 1/5
She's unclear about what she wants and I didn't learn much from her class. She has a specific process in mind (collage on top of croquis for ideas) and expected us to know everything like seniors. Doesn't give you credit for improvement. Unfair grading - included pre-test in final grade as pre-quarter assignment. Don't get textbooks - useless. ...Continue reading

yang is the mang. if you suck at math but need one for your degree, take survey with yang. Only 4 homework assignments the whole quarter, 3 tests, super easy as long as you pay attention in class and TAKE GOOD NOTES because the exams are open bookopen note. It was also nice not having to buy a book because he makes the HTML eBook available! ...Continue reading

Sabrina is a very caring, clear, and fair professor. She'll tell you exactly what you need to do, what she'll take marks off of, and help you when you need it. She treats her students with respect and in return, she's respected. Textbook's not really necessary, she teaches you step by step in class. ...Continue reading
