Rod is awesome. He's one of the funniest science teachers at UOP and he really cares if you do well. If you don't get something he will stop and go back so that you do understand. His tests are definitely hard, but dude knows what he's talking about and offers insights to OCHEM and pre-pharmacy. I wish I would have tried harder in his class. Can ask him for help. ...Continue reading

Difficult to understand at first, but after a few lectures, you get used to the accent. I read the textbook, did the end of chapter problems, went to workshop, and did her practice tests and got an A-. She's not the best lecturer, so the work and time you put into this class reflects the grade you'll get. Curves at the end too. ...Continue reading

Dutoi is honestly the worst teacher I have ever taken. His curve is a good 1% of your final score with no curve on any of the actual tests. He once gave a test with a mean and median of 55% and came to class the next day announcing I don't think I'm gonna give a curve. He tests on materials that he merely mentioned in class. One word: HORRIBLE ...Continue reading

She doesn't have that much of a bad accent as people say. She's very clear about what's going to be on the exam. Sometimes it's difficult to understand the way she explains some concepts, but if you ask her questions one-on-one or email her, it makes more sense. She replies on email super fast and her grading curve is nicer than other chem lectures ...Continue reading

If you go to class, she tells you exactly what's going to be on the free response. She's better at explaining things at office hours. Her free response questions usually come from workshop q's. She gets easier towards the last midterms. And plus she's very specific on telling the class the range that will be covered on the exam. ...Continue reading

Usually busy & never at office hours. Lectures are okay, he always gets the students involved. Sometimes gives good advice. If you can, do not take him. ...Continue reading

Absolutely terrible. Her notes and lectures make absolutely no sense. The entire class is self-study on the book. However, she is fairly easy and tells you what exactly will be on the test and several book questions are on her test. Kraka knows her stuff she just can't teach it to others. ...Continue reading

The day before a test she gives a lecture on what it is going to be on. However, sometimes she lies. . Study the book and always look at the questions from the hmk, even if she tells you not to. I had her for chem 025 also and I think she got harder for chem 027. She has a horrible accent. Attend class b/c it's part of participation. ...Continue reading

his test questions come from workshop and his group study questions or questions from class. Notes are crystal clear and go beyond book material to help students learn. Attendance not mandatory, but he gives points for Group Study Questions in class. I am not normally a fan of chemistry, but I feel like I was able to learn a lot in this class! ...Continue reading

Very easy grader, gives a lot of partial credit. yup. he allows note cards for his midterms. lecture can be a bit boring. speaks russian so he has an accent but it is not bad. he wants everyone to do well and is happy to go answer questions in class ...Continue reading
