Lets start by saying that i actually like math in general and i've always had good grades. Review your notes and stay on top of your work. Overall, great teacher, and I definitely recommend. She takes daily attendance and after your 3rd absence she deducts 1% of your grade. Her tests and quizzes are not hard as long as you study a bit and memorize the formulas. She keeps you interested and is funny. Her notes are a little hard to understand. ...Continue reading

She is an amazing calculus prof. Before, I was really bad at math, but I ended up making an A. HOWEVER, there is a TON of work, but it ends up helping you in the long run. She's a very cheerful person, which makes math a little better. Tests are easier than the hw and material. My TA was Angelynn Martinez and she's wonderful and easy to understand ...Continue reading

Awesome teacher, she helps you really learn and understand calculus. She posts lots of useful videos, reviews, and keys on her website. Great professor. ...Continue reading

She was very enthusiastic and respectful to students which I enjoyed but was also very lazy. She tried to go through her lectures so fast that she would skip through all of the concepts. She also rarely updated her calendar, which made it hard to keep up with due dates. This class is not hard to pass, I just would have liked to gain more knowledge. Expect to put in a lot of work though, multiple homeworks due every week, multiple online quizzes every week, and a popper everyday in her lectures. Must go to TA taught classes. She replies to questions all the time, sometimes she might take a day or two but she always replies. ...Continue reading

Professor George is the best option for an A at UH. The tests were not hard if you do your homework, which you should always keep in mind since a detailed schedule for quizes, homeworks, and emcf's is given along with the syllabus in the class webpage. ...Continue reading

Whalen is a genius. He is clear and on point. He gives out reviews that tell you what to expect on the test. I am not good at calculus but he makes it fun and interesting to learn it to the point that I can get a really good grade. The only bad thing about his class is his lectures are a bit long. He could probably teach ANY age group. He is very funny and makes lectures interesting. He always shows where formulas come from, which is pretty cool. The tests are very difficult, but he does give you a heads up as to what is on them. He gives homework after every class period. Buying the book at UH is mandatory. ...Continue reading

Professor Whalen is an amazing lecturer that keeps matters simple but clear. He gives a lot of extra credit from the practice tests and gives clear directions for each test that almost guarantees an easy A. He is always there for help when you need it and is very cooperative. Take him and you won't regret it. ...Continue reading

She is very disorganized . This was my first time taking this course and it was the worst subject ever. She is helpful when you go to her office hours. A load of work due every week (EMCFs, weekly quizzes, homework, etc) She tries to explains but it doesn't help at all. If you take her be prepared to look at other teachers notes for extra help. ...Continue reading

Took Math 1432 with him during summer. He isn't a bad professor to any extent, if you had any questions during class he would be more than willing to help. The reason that I gave him a lower score is because he never responded to any of my emails and often went over time, usually by 20-30 minutes. The worst was he finished at 8:45 in a 6-8pm class. ...Continue reading
