I LOVE HER! I've never enjoyed an English class in my life and this was possibly my favorite class this semester. She's the homie and the theme of her selected texts are super interesting and relevant. She made learning ENGL220 real and fun! She's very understanding and hilarious! If you don't read a book, go to class and take really good notes because they will help you with the papers! She's a nice grader! looks for generated idea and will help you achieve so with paper conference. ...Continue reading

EASY A IF U KNOW THE MATERIAL Willing to take other lit classes just for the sake of it. Gives great feedback and is close to students. Professor Asim is easily my favorite professor at SDSU and probably ever. She is the most helpful teacher I've had, with a crystal clear study session for the final and office hours that make writing two 6-page essays a breeze. If that's not enough, there are tons of extra credit. She truly cares about her students and their success in her class. She grades her papers pretty hard but if you go in for office hours/conference hours she will help you SO much (so i recommend doing that). Participation helps your grade in the end and she's entertaining so why not go?! ...Continue reading

She is an angel from heaven. She makes her lectures really interesting and will end up teaching you a lot about life as well as the novels you read in her class. There are 2 essays, both of which you should go to office hours for help from her, she is very flexible and will work with you. I highly suggest you take her class. Knows every student by name, is absolutely hilarious, and is incredibly knowledgeable. Such an interesting class, I wish I was an English major so I could take more of her classes. Absolutely 100% take her class if you can!! ...Continue reading

TIshna genuinely cares about her students in terms of how they are doing in her class AND truly makes an effort to get personal with them. This class has completely changed my perspective on literature classes. Only Mason Schoen could manage to make Beowulf interesting! He's engaging, young, and manages to be light-hearted and humorous throughout class while also going on tangents discussing serious issues. This class is interesting, engaging, and actually FUN to go to! he doesn't take attendance and he says he'll give quizzes and then doesn't. You don't have to come to class but its a fun class. He goes off on tangents a lot, and he does a lot of swearing and preaching, but its usually lighthearted. also he talks about getting high a lot... ...Continue reading
