I can't think of one, single thing that I like about this professor. This is a class to try to get kids to change their major for engineering so its really difficult. Less than half the kids that started in the class finished in it. Not his lectures, not his methods, not his attitude. ...Continue reading

Good guy, just a boring delivery in general, get ready to solve problems from the back of the book. Make sure you go to his office hours and ask him questions. If you read the book and do the practice homeworks before the test you'll easily get an A. ...Continue reading

He's a good professor, but it's hard to learn if you don't sit in the front. ...Continue reading

Here's the bottom line.... He looks like he knows his stuff but doesn't quite explain the material that we need to know. Generally tries to help students who don't understand but his lectures are very confusing to follow. Can't say for sure what my grade is going to end up looking like. ...Continue reading

If you are not devoted you will fail. This is a difficult class but not an impossible one. The book is a must. There are free PDF versions you just have to look for them. The best way to study for tests are to do insane amounts of practice homework. Dr. Smith is not a very good lecturer, and attending lectures aren't worth it, but bonus credit is. I went to class because he gave quizzes from time to time that counted as a 3% bonus at the end of the semester, not because I thought I would learn something. To study, I looked to the book and the homework assigned online. The reviews he would write up were completely irrelevant to the test. Tough class... ...Continue reading

He doesn't know how to teach. I use to come to class very early to sit in the front seat but I learn nothing. Eventually, I skip class, spend that time to learn by myself and get better grade. If you're willing to pay the tuition fee to study by yourself, choose this Prof. And don't come to class, it's a wasted of time. ...Continue reading

Worst teacher ever. He doesn't know how to teach. He goes in circles and even confuse himself. Does the wrong calculations and use the wrong formulas. My high school chem teacher is much better than him. Homework due every week. 3 exams and a final. Curves the grade. Give random extra credits as quiz when you come to class He goes off onto tangents about random advanced chemistry which no one understands but him. One good thing is that a 60 is a C+ so the whole course is curved. ...Continue reading

Talks himself into circles and lectures have little to do with the tests. ...Continue reading

He is a great teacher, and is one of the few that actually wants students to pass this class! He curved and gave some extra credit. Be aware that there are weekly homework(online) and that the tests are based off those homeworks. You need the book to pass!! ...Continue reading

Definitely not an easy class, but this professor tries to make it bearable. Pretty laid back, and a good guy who will try to help you understand something you don't get. Do the homeworks (especially since they're the closest things to the exams), understand the course material and the reviews, be prepared for weird exam questions and you'll be fine ...Continue reading

Video art is already difficult, she makes it easier if you ask. Very broad class, do about 5 assignments and a few in-class projects as well. She answers emails quickly and is really clear with explaining what is needed to be done. She's really helpful with getting you to really dig and be creative. Not a good class to procrastinate in. ...Continue reading

it was her first semester teaching video art, so we got off to a slight bumpy start. it's pretty broad, spent a good bit of time watching videos in class. if you're stuck on something and need help, she's more than happy to help. gives you feedback if you need an opinion or an idea to get the ball rolling. ...Continue reading
