Dr. Vida is a great guy. Most people that complain about his tough courses do not put the effort and time into doing well. His classes require you to be on top of your studies and really LEARN the material. He is very helpful when it comes to questions during office hours. Overall, I enjoyed this course because it is a good experience. ...Continue reading

He admitted that he is a bad lecturer. Absolutely true. His notes do not flow, making learning difficult, lectures are quick comments on each slide, tests are also quizzes, hwk are long and senseless, & he is uncomfortable when questions arise because of his inability to explain. If you want to understand this subject, do not take him. ...Continue reading

If you have poor critical thinking skills, you are screwed for the exams. Even if you know the concepts and memorized all of the details, if you can't think critically, his exams are going to be hard. He is a very nice guy and is very social with his students. I wish his exams were just a little easier. ...Continue reading

Not the teacher you want to take. He is not helpful, not easy. I think there was a big curve to get people to pass. There were 4 tests over the semester and 1 final. The lowest test grade (that is not the final) was dropped. Your best bet is to get a teacher that has old tests floating around. Not this guy. He rambles, study hard if you get him. ...Continue reading

Awesome professor. He is very helpful you can email him your questions or go to his office hours. DO the HOMEWORK!! he uses homework questions for the exams. Also if you can get a hold of old exams...DO IT, but be careful because if all you do is study old exams you will probably only get a C- on the exam. ...Continue reading

Interesting class, very important to take notes and ask questions if something is unclear. Exams look easy at first glance but easy to mess up. Final exam surprised me a bit. ...Continue reading

Dr. Cole is really nice. He rambles a little and gets off topic sometimes in lectures, but it's usually interesting. Essays are pretty straighforward, tests are very easy if you attend class. You have to attend if you want to understand the material because the notes he puts online are mostly pictures and graphs that don't make sense on their own. ...Continue reading

Lectures & engaging and easy to understand. However, really good note taking skills are necessary for the exams, which look simple but can be a little tricky. Wrote 2 papers which aren't so bad. Class isn't hard if you put effort into it. The class is curved I don't have a 90 something average, rather an 80 something & was given an A in the class I found his lectures interesting and easy to understand, but there were no real notes or reading outside of the lectures, so missing class even once could be a disaster. Overall I liked him and enjoyed the class. ...Continue reading

I think he's good. He does explain material well, but you need to be able to take good notes. He gave mc tests that seem easy, but are actually tricky. 2 papers only 2 pgs each. No reviews for exams. Grades are curved. Ask him any questions you have he is really helpful. ...Continue reading
