Good professor, cares about her students. The material is tough, but she makes it easy and she gives you a lot of slack if you put in effort and show her the respect she deserves! I have to say- this class is so terribly boring, you'll find it hard not to talk or play with your phone in class, and you have to go cuz of clickers, but if you do either of those things, there's a chance you'll have to do an 1000 word essay. Boring, moderate homework level, hardly used my books, but she is very helpful. ...Continue reading

Its not that hard really, just do all of your work, study for the tests, don't miss class. ...Continue reading

  • Class rating 4/5
She's truly amazing and so are her TA's just talk to her show her some civility and she makes your life in the class much better. However, if you are able to handle that and do the assignments with some basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel you will do fine. She tries really hard, so try and show some effort or be nice. ...Continue reading

Ok, I'm in her class nowt. The tests are mostly book material, not just what she mentions in class. You'll have several reading assignments and short papers, but they aren't that difficult. It's an easy A if you try, but i ended up with a B since i messed up on a couple assignments. ...Continue reading

  • Class rating 2/5
She is a nice lady, but not the best teacher. She treats her students like high schoolers so you cannot text in her class or use any electronic device otherwise you will have to write a 1500 words essay. Be prepared to come to every class because she uses clickers at the beginning for attendance and at the end ...Continue reading

Professor Felvegi is a very knowledgeable person I might say. She makes you work for your grade even though this is an intro course. Her tests are usually not on par with the lectures she gives so this class is a self-study course if you want to pass with a good grade. I did the bare minimum and wish I did better considering I was so close to an A. ...Continue reading

  • Class rating 2/5
This class is not easy but if you do everything you will not fail even if you do bad on the tests. I thought there was no way I'd pass, but I ended up with a B+. I never knew how to study for the tests which caused me to not do well on them. Don't do all of the extra credit because at the end only 2 points of extra credit go towards your grade. ...Continue reading

Her lectures are super long and it seems like each class is never ending. Do not miss any of the SAM assignments and do extra credit. SUPER nit-picky tests that ask the tiniest detail about excel. I did get an A, but it wasn't easy. Don't miss class more than twice or else you WILL write an essay. Don't bother buying the expensive book bundle- you probably won't use any. ...Continue reading

Professor Munchbach was very supportive and made it easy for students to ask questions about personal finance. This class was easy as long as you do your work. The video reviews suck, but that's ok. They were easy. I learned a lot. I recommend this class. If you try, engage, and do the assignments you will get an A. There are a lot of assignments, but they are really informative. ...Continue reading

I really enjoyed this course a lot. He loved listening to students' stories and loved giving advice. Professor Munchbach was also constantly in a good mood and it would've been easy to skip class but I looked forward to going to class each week. The class was not requirement for me as a science major but I wanted to learn more about personal finance... He's very knowledgeable, easy grader, inspirational, reliable, gives you plenty of changes of making an A, no exams, one or 2 papers due each week. DO NOT USE YOUR PHONE DURING LECTURES! ...Continue reading

Professor Munchbach is great. You will watch Dave Ramsey seminar and write what Dave talked about and how you can relate if you turn that essay in early you get extra points. Once you have 1000 points you're done for the class. November 11th was our last lecture day so no more class. ...Continue reading

Jim was the best professor I had at UH. Nice and funny guy, but you will get on his bad side if he catches you on your phone. You have an assignment due every week. The videos are long but very helpful, and you have to write 800-1000 word articles about them. He gives you plenty of opportunities to get an A. Would definitely take him again Most of it was self-taught with the professor's input but personal finance requires work and effort. I recommend this course to all college students. ...Continue reading

After hearing the horror stories of Soc. Theory taught by Grigorian, I was nervous taking this course during the summer. I ended up doing very well. Attend lectures because she gives great examples and read the book because her tests are written. She's NOT out to get anyone or to make your life miserable. She's very clear on what she expects. ...Continue reading

If you're good at staying focused, attendance, & writing papers- you'll get ATLEAST a B. (I got A-) But this class is SOO BORING!! It was 3 hours(fridays). Sometimes, Ms. Grigorian does make lecture interesting, but it's rare. Super boring and unclear. She drags on one topic for too long, especially things that aren't too important. For tests, super unclear. She doesn't tell you what's on the test (for the first she gave hints, but for the finals, no) so you're left with hella material to cry over. ...Continue reading

He is very knowledgeable about the material, makes students interested, the lectures do get long but he has very good points when he talks. I recommend. ...Continue reading
