Super chill young british man. He is very flexible and understanding, lets you make up any missed quizzes in his office hours. Study guides are basically the test, and you can find it all in the book so you never have to go to class. It still requires studying though. By far one of my favorite teachers at LSU ...Continue reading

Dr. Brody gets off topic in a way that isn't relevant to class and it takes up lecture time. There's 3 tests, a paper that's pretty lengthy, and a easy project. The tests are all short answer and essay. The class wasn't too bad but I would never ever take it again. Wouldn't really recommend this class to anyone unless it's their last resort. ...Continue reading

Easy class, but you have to know what the essays are going to be for each test. Make sure to write as much as you can in order to get a good grade on the tests. ...Continue reading

Professor Managan is a great and understanding professor! Attendance isn't mandatory, but there are in-class graded assignments every once and a while. There's online homework quizzes occasionally and there are also assignments you'll need to turn in. She sends out a study guide for the midterm and final. I got a 104 overall in the class. ...Continue reading

She stopped posting her powerpoints, but her lectures are simple. She gives a study guide before the midterm which really helps guide what you need to know! She offers extremely easy extra credit to get to know her students all you have to do is have a conversation with her after class. Studied and got a 94% on midterm. ...Continue reading

  • Class rating 5/5
I went to every class, just listened to her lecture and took notes on her power-points. I almost dropped the class after missing a few of the in class assignments that I was not aware of (yes, go to class!!), but she ended up dropping so many assignments and providing us with easy extra credit that I ended up with an A in the class. Highly recommend for a gen ed elective ...Continue reading

Human Geography with Prof. Marks was a breeze! He is so nice and he's very interested in what he teaches. Easy map quizzes, multi. choice test (study guides!), & pop quizzes (always a class discussion). Even though his power points are detailed I still suggest taking notes just to keep yourself engaged & it makes the test easier. ...Continue reading

He gives an extra 10% points if you go to 10 SI sessions. The quizzes were basically small tests because you had to know a lot of information, but only a quarter of it was on the quiz. He is a very good teacher & really knows the material so it's interesting! Take him but you do have to work for an A! Also a lot of primary sources to read He gives you a list of terms to know each week, and he picks a few of those terms for you to write about on the quizzes. He gives you the information you need to know, the only tough part is the actual memorization of it all. His TA's graded all assignments, so your grade depended on them ...Continue reading

Class mandatory because you won't have the notes for quizzestests. The sessions aren't bad at all and really help you prepare for his tests and quizzes. His tests and quizzes are all writing but they aren't bad at all. The SI really helps prepare you for the course. ...Continue reading

go to class!! She is a great teacher who really cares more about the students learning than what the letter grade is. She wants class participation and her lectures are all slides. Fun, nice, and easy a great class. ...Continue reading

The class is an easy A. She wants you to do a lot of easy assignments and read a lot. you will 100% regret it if you dont. there's in class assignments almost every class and you must be in class to turn in homework. its fairly interesting and I can't really see how its possible to fail if you attend classes. ...Continue reading

  • Class rating 3/5
The class is more informational then anything. Lots of reading & assignments from the 2 books & quizzes are difficult even if you read. Final is open book & all writing but I still only made an 85 on it...I would suggest taking 1001 with Tague or Listi instead of 1003 if this is just a social science requirement for you. ...Continue reading

This class isn't treated like a typical 1000 level course. There is no actual multiple choice easy tests, so if cheating is your go to, good luck. The In Search Of Respect textbook is essential to quiz questions, final questions, and a huge topic in discussion. There's in class assignments almost every single class, if you dont go you will not pass this class. ...Continue reading

He's a really nice guy, but his lectures drone on and on for what seems like an eternity. I went to every class and still couldn't understand what was going on. He gave pop quizzes, as well as tested on books that were lengthy. His study guides are pretty basic, so you would have to know every aspect of them to even get close to passing his tests. ...Continue reading
