No one in the class received an A. I would follow the template she provided, what the book suggested and end up with a C or D. Have her review my work before turning in, follow everything she suggests, still receive a C. Worst class I've ever taken and I have never received anything lower than a B on an english assignment. ...Continue reading

Joni Charles is by far the the worst professor I have had in my college career at Texas State. Not only does she confuse herself with her ramblings during her lectures, she hardly gives any real info on what to know. Her tests rarely have any content covered from the lectures and her reviews are a joke - no help whatsoever. Run the other way. ...Continue reading

Professor Agwuele always had interesting lectures. The tests are fairly easy if you attend class and read the book. I would recommend this class to anyone. ...Continue reading

Content-wise - it's like unlearning everything you've learned in the past. She takes an hour to say what could be said in 15 minutes. She has very precise directions and formatting requirements, but she hands out student examples of A papers. If you can follow directions you will make an A. If you didnt make an A you either didnt go to class(attendance policy), or you handed in crap The lectures are a bit long-winded but she's very, very helpful so don't be shy with questions. She allowed for re-writes for additional grades which was also helpful. Buying the book was a waste of money. You can rely on the examples she provides. ...Continue reading

I would not take Dr. K again. He is too demanding of a professor, requiring 2 homeworks due each class period, with another one due right after. He even has a powerpoint explaining all of the effort he wants students to put into his class (trust me, its a lot). Too time consuming for such a basic course. Overall, he loves what he does but I don't ...Continue reading

Not too hard. Gotta study the book on your own though as the powerpoints in class don't cover the whole test. Has 10 in-class exercises. Awesome lecturer and makes mgmt interesting. He really gets everyone focused and participating. There is really no way to have a better professor he has it all. Great guy ...Continue reading

He will have you work in teams but your team works more like a project team. Its not hard if everyone pulls their weight (or rope). This is best business class I have taken thus far, and would highly recommend it for a summer class. ...Continue reading

Very easy class. There is a lot of online homework, but that's easy its just takes time. He mostly just reads off the powerpoint slides so attendance isn't really necessary. Tests are easy. Class is long, he talks a lot about his personal experiences and tells a lot of stories. ...Continue reading

Have to get online text for homework. Had to really read each chapter. His powerpoints are clear, but the tests are worded like the book, so I always read to ensure a good grade. He is not an okay prof. He tells alot of stories. I never went to class because I got more out of reading the book. Easy A. ...Continue reading

Brock Brown, while he is a kind man with quite a bit of knowledge, doesn't seem to quite blend his teaching techniques with this examinations. I mean this in the sense that he rambles often and it's difficult to sort through this text-heavy power points to study for the exams, which themselves are more of a test of how well you take tests. ...Continue reading

Very hard class the test had a-e choices!!! Even though I studied as much as possible still failed. Projects took forever. He is a very passionate professor but not a very good one. ...Continue reading

  • Class rating 4/5
Lectures are boring, but given examples are culturally interesting and help you be relevant with news. Awkward woman, but a very personable and happy person with a kind heart. Love professors who answer emails informatively. Exams stem straight out of her online notes. Attendance is extra credit that ultimately helps, but optional final was easy. ...Continue reading

He is very nice professor as I expected. He gave me chances again and again for submitting my assignment. He is very polite and helpful. He know how to handle each student, he focus one each student in the class. He explain what he want in assignment, he make that all assignment easy and useful for my future. ...Continue reading

I wish I had rated him a year and a half ago when I had him for technical writing. He is my favorite professor at Texas State. 3 Exams. 1 non-cumlative final. One group project that is worth 7% of total grade. Has connect assignments on connect and gives extra credit for extra assignments done. Tests are taken from connect. He only gives night classes, so classes are long, but it wasn't boring. I liked it. I would definitely take him again. ...Continue reading

Expectations are not really clear from the get-go which made it difficult to complete writing assignments. There aren't any actual tests but major projects that are done in groups. She gives quizzes once in a while 100% from the book. You have to really read it. Its easy work there's just a lot of it. Just be prepared to have a lot of busy work. ...Continue reading

Extremely wishy washy professor. Never actually tells you want she wants in the assignments. She expects you to understand everything she says exactly as if you've done all of this before. She is a good technical writer but not a teacher. I would not recommend that you take her. ...Continue reading
