Meet Señorita Janis ¡Bienvenidos! Welcome to Spanish class! Your teacher, Señorita Sutton, has graciously allowed me into her classroomso that I can furtherdevelopmy teaching skills. That means that I will be teaching some of your classes for the next semester. I am beyond thrilled to be working alongside such a wonderful teacher and I can’t wait to get toknow you all better! I believe that we can accomplisnext fewmonths.things in the ¡Vámanos! As a studio teacher, this will be my first semester ever teaching a class. I am so excited! I have spent the last three and a half years at UMSL trainingfor this. At the end of this semester, I will have a Bachelor of Sciencein Secondary Education-Spanish and I will graduate in May. I can’t wait to put all of my knowledge to good use! I studied Spanish for two weeks in Costa Rica at the Costa Rican Language Academy. While there, I went zip-lining in the rainforest, drank the best coffee in the world, and lived with the most amazing host family. Needless to say,I think that Ilearned the true meaning of ¡Pura Vida! Random fact: I’m also engaged to be married. I met my future I have not always wanted to be husband, Ryan, in my high school Spanish class. a Spanish teacher. Before my first Spanish class, I wanted to A Little About Me be a divorce attorney and a wedding planner.
