PRACTICE OUTLINE General Purpose: To Inform Specific Purpose: The specific purpose of my speech is to inform my audience… -How to exercise without exercising. Introduction: Does it get attention? Did you provide an overview of your speech? Did you preview your thesis? Do you establish credibility and goodwill? Raise your hand if you have plenty of time to exercise at least a couple times a week. Now raise your hand if you've seen someone jogging and you say I want to be healthy and do that, but I won't. As a college student, I understand not everyone has the time to go to the gym for an hour and work out. Some of us have kids, family, jobs, and a lot of studying to do. Which is why I decided I'm going to give you some tips on how to exercise without exercise. I know it sounds crazy, but what is exercise? Exercise is the type of physical activity that we have in mind and don't enjoy. For example, when i hear the word exercise i think of running, i don't like it. Thesis/ Central Idea(concisely communicates to the audience, in one sentence, what the speech is about the topics I'm going to be talking about today is how to include exercise into your daily routine, the types of exercises you can do, and how you can benefit from this challenge. Main point:how to include exercise into your daily routine. A. Sub ordinate point be motivated stop thinking of exercise as a deadly task. Steve from nerd fitness says in order for you to live a healthy life you needed to understand some key facts. He says every decision counts and every choice adds up. Exercise is a bonus. B. Subpoint stop saying you don't have time to exercise. Every second you watch TV is time you can be exercising. Do it while you're watching TV. In the morning start stretching, a lot of us do the big ugly stretch in the morning and it feels good. Take the stairs. We make time for so many things but ourselves. Stay making time for yourself and take care of yourself. C. Subpoint Make a game out of all the activities you hate. For example, if you hate studying but have to learn the material, make some notes, tape them on the wall, and throw a ball at each note you memorized. Do it with your family. I. Main point: types of exercises you can do II. A. Subpoint play games: Pokémon Go, Wii, Manhunt, Dance Dance Revolution.this method can be easily incorporated in to your daily routine. You can do it with friends, family, on your way to work, even do it with kids, etc. B. Subpoint :speaking of kids... method number two is play with kids. Now don't get a random kids off the stay please but kids can easily get a work out from anyone. And the pros are they get tired and if you're lucky they will fall asleep. Personally i have three good children I watch every other day. They keep me going and not because i choose to. C. Subpoint: cleaning Not organizing, i mean cleaning. Running around the house and try to time yourself cleaning as fast as possible. Trust me is great practice for when you have unexpected bitsy coming over. You can do rods five minutes a day. See how much you can get done. III. Main point: benefits from incorporating some of these types into yourlifestyle A. Subpoint all these exercises are flexible and can easily be added into your daily routine B. Subpoint : helps you maintain good health C. Subpoint: brings up your self esteem According to Benna Crawford from live strong stay to feel good from the inside out. Just working out 2030 minutes everyday can keep pounds off and confidence high. Conclusion: Did you restate thesis and reiterate how the main points confirm it? Does the speech leave your audience with something to think about? Does the conclusion signal the end of your speech? Are you open to questions? ____________________________________________________________________. Do not forget to keep track of your sources and build your Works Cited page (on a separate/new page).
