STUDY GUIDE – MID TERM 1 I’ll just be giving a few tips on how to prepare for this MID TERM examination.  Be thorough with your basic knowledge related to probability.  All the questions can be answered by just having a strong hold on basic topics such as PDF, CDF of discrete and continuous random variables, Conditional probability and transformations.  I have attached a set of formulas that would be useful for this examination. I’ve tried to cover most of them. Left some out as those were already explicitly mentioned in the weekly notes.  I will be putting up the notes for week 3, 4, 5 and 6 soon.  Read through my notes thoroughly and do make a habit of writing your own notes. That will help you memorize the important points that you need to remember and also you will get a hold on the formulas and their application.  If the questions in the examination are practical based, still, make a step-by-step approach by applying the basic knowledge that you have attained, and you will surely end up with the required answer.  FORGIVE ME IF I WAS NOT ABLE TO MAKE A GOOD STUDY GUIDE. (FIRST MISTAKES CAN BE FORGIVEN RIGHT? :P )  ALL THE BEST TO GUYS. HOPE THIS AND THE FORMULA SHEET THAT I HAVE ATTACHED, HELP YOU GET AN AWESOME SCORE IN THE EXAMINATION. 
