These notes cover the first week of lessons in Principles of Macroeconomics from Monday August 28th to Friday September 1st
First week notes from macroeconomics!!
These are the notes for Week 1 (8/28 - 9/1) of Macro. They go over the syllabus for the class, Chapter 1: The Economic Approach, and Chapter 2: Opportunity Cost and the Basics of Trade.
These notes were taken from the first week of class. Topics such as the principles of macroeconomics were discussed as well as supply and demand.
An introduction to economics and the law of demand
As class was only held for one session this week, this set only covers market demand and the difference between change in demand and change in quantity demanded. Terms defined are diminishing marginal utility and consumer surplus (and Prof. Hammock's coined "anti-surplus").
These go over things that can shift demand, the law of supply, things that can shift supply, equilibrium, and total surplus.
