When it interacts or changes into another substance.  i.  Flammability, corrosiveness, and reactivity with acids.   10. Physical change: when a substance changes its physical properties, not its composition.  a.  It changes appearance, but not identity.  11. Chemical change: (Also called chemical reaction.)  When one or more substances are  converted into 1 or more substances.   a.  Change in identity. Ex. Burn wood to ash.  12. Energy a.  Potential: energy related to position.

v.  Amount of substance (mole)  vi.  Electric current (ampere)  vii.  Luminous intensity (candela)  c.  Derived units: derivatives of the base units.  Ex.
