delicious recipe is because I love pancakes.
2. What are the recipe's ingredients and what are the main steps necessary to prepare the  recipe? (5 pts) Ingredients for this recipe: 1½ cups white whole­wheat flour                                                   cup mini chocolate chips 2 teaspoons baking powder ¼ teaspoon baking soda ¼ teaspoon salt
background image 1 large Egg 1½ cups buttermilk  1 cup mashed ripe banana (2­3 medium) 2 tablespoons canola oil
1 tablespoon sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract Preparation: I. Mix flour, chocolate chips, baking powder, baking soda and salt in one large bowl. 
Than mix egg, buttermilk, banana, oil, sugar and vanilla in a medium bowl. Put your 
wet ingredients in to the dry ingredients and mix. Make sure to not overmix the 
pancake. 
II. Let the batter sit for 10 to 15 minutes without stirring.  The baking powder forms 
bubbles to create fluffy pancakes, while the gluten will relax the pancake to be tender.
III. The use a large nonstick skillet with cooking spray to make the pancakes. Cook the 
pancake until you see bubbles on the surface and flip the pancake until golden.
3. What is your opinion of the food you made?  (2 pts) I didn’t get to make the recipe because I don’t have the ingredients to make the 
pancakes. 
4. What are the benefits of this recipe compared to the same food purchased at a restaurant  or that is processed? (May be nutrient benefits and/or cost savings.) (5 pts) The benefit of this recipe is that I can make plenty of pancakes with this recipe at 
home while at a restaurant you can only get 3 pancakes that will cost more.
