It can be        adaptive in nature – allows for action to avoid a “perceived threat”  FOCUS: Know the distinction between the two. In some cases, mild and moderate may be useful in allowing us to respond to potentially threatening stimuli. Its adaptive in nature and allows for the ability to take action.
