accuracy

A description of how close a measurement is to the true value of the quantity measured.

hypothesis

A scientific explanation for a set of observations that can be tested in ways that support or reject it.

quantitative observation

An observation that deals with a number or amount.

scientific law

A statement that describes what scientists expect to happen every time under a particular set of conditions

science

An organized way of gathering and analyzing evidence about the natural world.

physical science

Study of matter, which is anything that takes up space and has mass, and the study of energy, which is the ability to cause change.

models

simplifying representation of a system or phemonion, as in the science or economics, with any hypothesis required to describe the system or explain the phenomenon, often mathematically.

precision

Describes the closeness, or reproducibility, of a set of measurements taken under the same conditions.

An observation based on fact that can be replicated by all observers.
