Policy Elements 1 Mission goals and objectives Our mission is to address the needs of the homeless in our community and to serve as a catalyst for community collaboration to end homelessness Our goal is to return our residents to self sufficiency through counseling job training and educational programs While our clients work to reestablish productive lives we provide transitional housing and daycare for their children until they are ready to move back into the community Community support through volunteering and donations is a big key to our success 2 Forms of benefits or services delivered The Coalition for the Homeless is more than a shelter it is a comprehensive program designed to empower homeless men women and children to become self sufficient The Coalition provides food and shelter as well as programs and services including education job skills training case management licensed day care child development programs and housing placement Nearly 650 people call the Coalition home on a given night 3 Entitlement eligibility rules The rules of this organization is simple one must find work and go through the programs listed such as budgeting gaining a saving account counseling and numerous other enrichment activities to help the family or single parents or even just the homeless get their lives back in order with help from the Florida coalition for the homeless to learn to be self sufficient 4 Administrative or organizational structure for service delivery THESE ARE THE STAFF THAT DELIVERS THE SERVICES PROVIDED President Program Services Grants Administration Controller Women s Residential And Counseling Center First Steps Program 5 Financing method This organization mainly relies on donations and support from other local businesses and the community to make things run smoothly at the coalition for the homeless Also other businesses donate services to their clients as well to benefit those who need the services but cannot pay because of their personal situations 6 Interactions among the foregoing elements Because the organization helps these families get their lives back in order by going through the channels within the program it is rare that any families receiving services are not using these exact services to benefit themselves and their families Really the clients at the organization have no chance to misuse the opportunities available through this program
