Designing Your Course Project (graded) While APAstyle citation and format is required, you do have the flexibility in the design of your Course Project to include a visual element. Review Chapter 17, pp. 382–387. How does the use of visual elements enhance or detract from the presentation of research? Will you add graphs, charts, or images to your draft? Why or why not? Respond RE: Candice Casto 2/11/2014 9:56:51 AM All I have debated using a chart or graph. I have always thought visuals can enhance research papers and have used them before. I am just not sure with the subject I am writing about that a visual will really enhance any of the information being presented. Most of the facts I am using are cut and dry, how the childhood obesity rate has increased over the years is very clear in the writing. Respond RE: Melissa Pommerening 2/11/2014 10:43:31 AM All With your subject, you're right, it doesn't need a visual, but I think it would definitely add a dramatic point seeing how quickly and how much childhood obesity has grown in just the last five years! Respond RE: Candice Casto 2/12/2014 10:28:48 AM All A visual could be dramatic, but at the same time I think it would be repetitive with the numbers in the writing. Respond Candice: Professor Wright 2/12/2014 7:08:48 PM Yes, that could very well be true. You would not want to just repeat in a graph what you have already said in a paragraph.
