BUSINESS RESEARCH PROJECT PART 4 2 Blackberry Business Research Plan Blackberry was once the leadership in the cell phone industry but today they are one of the least recognized manufactures for cell phones Team C will discuss how we plan to increase their revenue by indentifying what customers want and need to Choose Blackberry Inc as their cell phone provider over any other manufacture We have administered a survey and we will analyze it to see what customer think about Blackberry products Furthermore we will explain the final results of the survey and the various ways in which the survey will help us determine the changes the company will need to undertake to make Blackberry Inc once again the leading manufacturer in their industry The Sample Process The population will consist of former current and possible future customers Surveys will be emailed mailed or telephoned to the previously mentioned population The purpose of the survey is to determine the following 1 How can we increase sales revenue and consumer base 2 Do we need improved or increased focus on customer satisfaction What are our marketing and customer service strategies How can we enhance the Blackberry brand appeal to individuals and professionals What do we need to do to effectively compete with other cellular phone manufacturers What are the company39s future plans to stay on top of technological advances 9955 Each former current and possible future customer will be given a standard explanation of the reason for the survey An example would be BlackBerry values your opinion of our product and our services and would appreciate your time in completing our survey To process the survey our team believes that outsourcing the process by utilizing the services of Innovative Research Inc located in Omaha Nebraska to process the surveys for BlackBerry Inc This will BUSINESS RESEARCH PROJECT PART 4 3 elevate extensive cost of hiring and training personnel purchasing equipment and the cost of labor to email mail or telephone former current and possible future customers Because Innovative Research is a professional service that has eXperience in conducting surveys for many corporations and processing the information that they receive from the general public the metrics produced can be considered reliable While some of the survey will be received from former and current customers future customer opinions can be obtained from Innovative Research Inc Innovative Research have a number of employees that are paid to test products provide focus groups and give opinions on products Innovative Research employees are paid per project so the cost of a survey would be greatly reduced and reliable information will be received versus most of the information received from general public who may give false or misleading opinions of the BlackBerry products and service or may not give an opinion for the shear fact of not wanting to take the time to participate in a survey Survey that one of the features that it a must have would be the processing speed and battery life By making the necessary changes with the answers provided we will increase sales revenue and consumer base One of the main things that we noticed with the survey responses is that there are not many ads marketing the product We will focus on conducting more marketing to entice consumers to make the switch from their current provider to Blackberry However we will need to improve the focus on customer satisfaction and provide what customers want to see Blackberry offer such as a better quality of touch screen and more features Conclusion BUSINESS RESEARCH PROJECT PART 4 11 In conclusion Team C would like to ensure that Blackberry will be at the top of the list once again for the cell phone manufacture In order to ensure that Blackberry will be at the top is to listen to what the customer s want manage marketing customer satisfaction and or strategies different ways to enhance the brand appeal and how to compete with competitors All of these criteria s are important and the survey that was administered focused on these options As discussed one of the features that will be changed is processing speed and battery life The company will also step up the marketing strategies to the viewers to discuss the new and improved Blackberry The research that was done has shown that the criteria s provided will ensure that Blackberry will be one of the top of the manufactures in the industry
