RESEARCH PROJECT PART II BLACKBERRY 2 Blackberry Business Research Plan Blackberry leadership and management have identified several key dilemma s Which have contributed to recent consumer and sales decline The leadership team has formulated a plan to identify issues survey customers and discover and implement resolutions to bring organizational success back to the Blackberry brand First the company will identify the dilemmas at hand and What resolutions are needed Second consumers to be surveyed will be identified and questions will be formulated for easy questionnaires that obtain valuable information to improve current Blackberry products and services Third survey results will be compiled and evaluated for trends and consumer demands Finally survey information will guide management to improve current and future Blackberry products to entice consumers and professionals back to the brand and increase revenue Research Questions Addressing the Dilemma of BlackBerry Blackberry has seen decreased revenue consumer base and customer satisfaction with its products over the last few years Leadership has identified that the company needs to improve sales bring Smartphone consumers back to the Blackberry brand and exceed customer expectations for wireless technology BUSINESS RESEARCH PROJECT PART II BLACKBERRY 3 Management has discovered the following dilemmas the organization faces and the improvements that need to be made Management questions are the restatement of the management dilemma in question form Cooper amp Schindler p 112 Through business research and customer surveys leadership will find answers to these issues and work on resolutions to bring the organization back to the forefront as a strong competing wireless phone manufacturer The team has developed a set of questions that must be answered to complete the task of making BlackBerry the premier leader in cell phone technology 1 How can we increase sales revenue and consumer base 2 Do we need improved or increased focus on customer satisfaction 3 What are our marketing and customer service strategies 4 How can we enhance the Blackberry brand appeal to individuals and professionals 5 What do we need to do to effectively compete with other cellular phone manufacturers BUSINESS RESEARCH PROJECT PART II BLACKBERRY 4 6 What are the company39s future plans to stay on top of technological advances Population and Samples for our research During the time when Blackberry was on top one of their biggest blocks of customers were executives government employees managers and public sector workers This niche was comprised mostly of people twenty five and over and was firmly in the grips of blackberry They lost this market and the potential new younger market because of complacency unchanging culture and lack of innovation Our team will focus on recapturing this market igniting a dynamic culture and begin to innovate with new and exciting products that will appeal to younger people under twenty five years of age A BlackBerry Smartphone is the most suitable mobile device for government employees because it is data oriented and carries superb features that justify the security of data As a case in point former Governor J eb Bush strongly advocated for BlackBerry Smartphone use among government employees especially in connection with you to purchase a newer model in the future Why or why not Distribution of the Survey The survey will be distributed and collected in an electronic survey which utilizes the internet to gather
