Running head FAMOUS THINKERS PAPER Famous Thinkers Paper PHL45 8 FAMOUS THINKERS PAPER 2 Famous Thinkers Paper Dr Martin Luther King and William Gates are the two famous thinkers I will be writing about I will write about their contributions to society how I think their personal social and political environments contribute to their creativity how they solve their ideas and problems how their ideas were implemented what could they have done differently and I will be comparing how their creative process took place this is a Thesis Statement Famous thinkers have little in common with what makes them reach his or her level of achievement Creative ideas are the foundation of the creative process Goodman amp Fritchie 2011 Contributions to Society Marin Luther King made a huge contribution to society in the times of difficulty times He made sure that the way to contribute to society was by helping African American s gain civil rights and changing issues of equality in America He made sure to change thought and beliefs of others Dr King fought for the injustices of inequality and segregation He also fought for Americans to stop judging because of the way people looked or what color of skin they had He wanted to get everyone together as one no matter what backgrounds anyone was from Therefore embracing diversity was a challenge for America FAMOUS THINKERS PAPER 3 He made sure to look at the situation in every possible way to accomplish uncommon solutions In order to overcome the obstacles he would visualize on how to solve the problems he was very patient and passionate for his beliefs Social Environment Inequality oppressions and racial tensions were just some of the social and political environments problems that contributed to his creativity Martin had in uenced many he helped established oppression by doing wrongs to right At a young age Dr King experienced racism and that is why the battle to finish racism began Therefore because of his experience is how he became creative on how to fight for equality and civil rights The way Dr King s ideas were implemented was by using the approach of civil disobedience and nonviolence which in his time did not exist How to solve the problem Dr King s main solution on how to solve the problem was to promote civil disobedience also by solving the moral issues of racism yes Therefore he suggested to hold a political system accountable what he did was to take action of appealing to the principals of democracy and their rules He believed that integration was the key to gaining equality and he promoted a nonviolent policy to achieve his solution His nonviolent policy was based on his belief that the battle against segregation should be fought in a courtroom instead of the street Ware 2009 no space here FAMOUS THINKERS PAPER 4 Solution and Implementation The most important believe Dr King had was the action of equal rights by nonviolent policy He made sure to revise his solutions by demonstrating peaceful actions He had a moral agenda which helped people improve humanity Because of his believe he had many followers which accepted and encouraged his moral agenda Dr King stayed true to himself and to what he believed was right and that helped him be accepted William Henry Gates Creative Process I will have to say that there are many smart and knowledgeable business men in the world but the one that got my attention is the chairman of the famous Microsoft William Henry Gates In 1955 in Seattle William was born into a family that was well known for their business knowledge and their politics From a very young age William was extremely smart therefore his parents sent him to a private school which helped him grow even further and that is where he gained the knowledge of computers Solution and Implementation During his school years at Harvard University he had the opportunity of meeting very intelligent classmates they all started using computers which led them to initiate the use of computers outside of school and into the real world FAMOUS THINKERS PAPER 5 During his junior year at Harvard William decided to drop out of school to pursue his knowledge dream of Microsoft During the year 1975 William believed that computers were going to be very important everywhere in the world therefore he joined his childhood friend Paul last name and started developing software for computers William in the year 1987 started to show and push CDRoms Therefore Microsoft became more popular and became bigger and bigger Because Microsoft became so popular the pricing was so low that no one could even come close to matching it and or try to compete from their new ideas came starting with Windows and many other software the only problem was that because of these ideas it put Microsoft in the federal government ride r The federal government was suspicious because of all their deals and some questionable alterations of Microsoft Social Environment Williams love for computers and everything about them was very strong but he decided to found Corbis Corbis is the worlds largest resources of visual information better known as a digital archive for photography around the world source of this info Contribution to Society In 1999 and in 1995 Gates wrote two books called Business the Speed of Thought which showed computers can help any business problems in a new way and The Road Ahead The money that was earned from both books was donated to nonprofit organization no space here just double spaced Critique and Ideas FAMOUS THINKERS PAPER 6 William is a genius and an inspiration to many but at the same time it has affected society in some way how Computers are extremely important and I do have to say it has made our lives easier but in my own believe the competition keeps on increasing to the point that today s youth are constantly in the computer there is no family time and no going outside and enjoying the day Conclusion Martin Luther King and William Henry Gates had their own creativity and defined their problems in a totally different way one was an incredible business man and the other was an incredible man that fought for his believe and the rights for other Dr King and William were able to overcome any many obstacle and knew how to use their creative ideas to solve their problems They both took the time to consider different options which helped them solve the problems and be accepted by society Creative thinkers those that think outside of the box and have the ability to create and get done what needs to get done
