James Salvador
CHEM 2321
This is a complied pdf of lecture notes as well as the reading notes. The note packet contains examples for most subjects as well as useful charts for naming carbon chains, and a molecular geometry chart.
This is a complied pdf of lecture notes as well as the reading notes. The note packet contains examples for most subjects as well as useful charts for naming side chains, summary of the naming alkanes, and a functional group table.
This is a complied pdf of lecture notes as well as the reading notes. The note packet contains examples for most subjects as well. It also includes how to name cycloalkanes and cis and trans.
This is a study guide consisting of questions and answers that our professor may ask. Each question has an explanation along with an example molecule to look at. Correction to energy difference question, the answer is (e) because each methyl group on the second conformation is interacting with carbons 2 times and is gauche so .8 x 4 is 3.2 not 3.6. I am truly sorry for this mix up and will pay
This packet of note covers 2.9,2.10,13.7,16.6, and 3.13. It includes many examples as well as helpful tricks to remember certain conformations and positions a methyl group can be in.
Week 5 covers the reading on one Chiral center, and two or more Chiral centers. It always covers lecture notes on boiling/melting points, and specific gravity.
This weeks notes cover Line notation, and Acyclic aldehydes as well as the lecture note. The first homework this week was a review so if you want to know how to do it (for practice) please refer to my older notes.
This includes notes for the mechanisms chapter and Acyclic Aldehydes and Ketones. This week of notes also includes the lectures notes.
This study goes over things that make be on the test as well as tips and tricks to remember boiling point, melting point, acidity and even oxidation states.
This week comes L19, M3, and L20. As well as lecture notes and PROBLEMS done in class that are relevant.
This week covers the homework + lecture and moodle notes with the correct answers organized.
This week covers mechanisms and other homeworks. It also has the naming, and moodle problems with CORRECT answers.
Covers reading, moodle, and lecture notes.
Answers questions and gives examples why things turn into what they turn into. It also has screenshots of Dr.Salvador's website, so you can print them out. It clarifies how to use the tables as well.
Covers reading for week 12.
This covers the moodle, Mechanism 10, and lecture notes in depth. The equations and how to do them are included as well.
This covers everything that will be on exam 4 only! Not the final. I went into depth with some of the topics as I even had to learn D and L, which was confusing, but I think I found a way to explain it very well.
