What Is Greek Yogurt And What Are Its Benefits? Recently, I heard about ‘Greek Yogurt’, I don’t know about you but yes, I didn’t know about Greek yogurt before. I thought what is Greek yogurt? How does it taste? What is healthy in that? After doing some research on Greek yogurt, I have understood the health importance of Greek yogurt. With this article, I am going to share valuable information about it with you. What is Greek yogurt? It is a food that has been stretched in a paper bag, or cloth or a filter; usually muslin is used to confiscate the whey, as it gives a consistency between that of cheese and yogurt, while maintaining yogurt’s unique sour taste. Just like other types of yogurts, stretched yogurt is usually made from milk that has been augmented by steaming some of water elements, or by adding more butterfat and milk powder. Greek yogurt is equivalent to Greek stretched yogurt, however, may be stiffened with the use of thickening means. Sodium – There are many people who want to decrease their salt intake. As per USDA, the sodium presence in Greek yogurt is less than 50%. Yet, Greek yogurt has amazing taste without sodium. Versatility – You can use Greek yogurt for numerous dishes, even sweet and savory. Lots of people use it as a substitute of milk because of its rich and thick texture. There are many people who get confused about if Green yogurt has probiotics or not, the answer to this is; yes, it does have probiotics. Probiotics, which are available in Greek yogurt, improve digestion, upsurge protection from infections, avert allergies, and contain uneven bowel movements. Milk sugar gets easily digested because of availability of probiotics. With the help of probiotics, which exists in Greek yogurt, the risk of colon cancer is very less.
