Advantage of Midwives Salt Lake City Midwife is a skilled professional with unique expertise in supporting women and their families through a healthy pregnancy and birth. They also offer care, education, counselling and support to a woman and the child through entire process of pregnancy and birth. Midwives Salt Lake City work with individual women and their families to meet their unique physical, emotional and social needs. The major job of a midwife includes monitoring the physical, psychological and social well being of the mother throughout the child bearing cycle and identifying and referring women who require obstetrical attention. Midwives are different in their skill, qualifications, education, legal status and places where they can assist women in giving birth. There are two types of midwives that exist in United States and they are nurse-midwives and direct entry midwives. Nurse midwives are educated in both nursing and midwifery and direct entry midwives focus on midwifery only. Direct entry midwives attend birth outside of hospitals, such as home births or at birth centres. Certified nurse midwives attend mostly births in hospitals although some do work in birth centres and few in individual homes. All over the world, half of the births are attended by midwives. Midwives are extremely involved in labour and delivery process, sometimes not leaving the mother during the entire process. Midwives Salt Lake City is trained to recognize all the signs that deviate from the normal process. They have an entirely different mindset toward the process of bringing babies into the world and they view pregnancy and birth as natural process of life.
