Lympne Castle Is A Prestigious Kent Wedding Venue - Kent Wedding Photographer _____________________________________________________________________________________ By Maso Kiro - http://gavinphotography.co.uk Lympne Castle is situated in the tiny village of Lympne, between Ashford and Folkestone. Lympne Castle is a fantastically beautiful 13th century listed building, high on the hill overlooking the Romney Marsh. The castle is approached on a long and paved driveway via the gatehouse, with its own towers and huge and ancient gates. As the wedding guests park outside thkent wedding photographer they must all enter the castle, via the driveway, on foot and this can make for some nice photographs and is a way of candidly documenting all your guests. The bride herself will be driven down to the Lympne Castle where there is a large courtyard and this too makes for some great shots of the bridal party together with the car or coach and horses. The ceremony itself takes place in the West Drawing Room. A lovely oak panelled room where a many as eighty guests can be accommodated. The couple stand in front of the large bay window at the far end, which overlooks the fantastically well cared for gardens and manicured lawns. With its window seats this makes for a great photo of the bride and groom as they relax during the readings and whilst the registers are being counter-signed. After the ceremony the bridal party together with their guests will move outside, drink in hand, onto the enclosed courtyard at the rear of the castle. This terraced area provides stunning scenery of the Romney Marshes and beyond. Lympne Castle is very photogenic with its flint walls, arches, stepped gardens, there really isn't a poor aspect in which to take photographs. The group shot of all the guests is done in either of the two courtyards from first floor windows that the staff at the castle kindly allow. Afterthe group photographs are finished then the photographer will usually take the couple around the grounds for more romantic photographs of just the two of them. The wedding breakfast is served in the Great Hall which can accommodate one hundred and twenty guests. The bar is separate and there are nooks and crannies aplenty for the guests to seat themselves. During winter there's a roaring fire, or two around the interior of the castle. If your wedding is around Christmas time then there's an enormous Christmas tree too as the ceiling in the main room is very high indeed. One thing to consider with Lympne Castle is it's arguably the best interior wedding venue in Kent should the weather turn foul or it's a winter wedding when the light is lost early. The Oak-panelled rooms, fireplaces, window seats, long atmospheric corridors all make for some stunning interior photography. So… What’s Next ?
