How to Clean Wooden Cabinets Manhattan Safely? If you want your cabinets Manhattan to be in good shape for several years, you must ensure that the units you have are of high quality. In addition to that, you must also clean them regularly. Here, we have discussed the some effective procedures of cleaning wooden cabinets. Take a mild laundry detergent or dish wash that have been designed for cutting grease and mix it with warm water. The mixture should contain 1 part of the detergent and two parts of warm water. Mix the two ingredients well and soak a clean cloth on sponge into it. Use the soaked cloth or sponge for applying the solution to the wooden cabinet. Next, you will have to scrub the cabinet using the scrubber used for cleaning silver stone (if you don’t have it, you can also use an old soft-bristled toothbrush). While scrubbing, make sure that you don’t end up removing the cabinet’s finish. Once all the buildups are removed, stop scrubbing and rinse the cabinet using plain water. Carry out the rinsing procedure carefully ensuring that no soap residue is left on the cabinet. If the wooden cabinet is covered by sticky film, you can use a solution containing water and vinegar for cleaning it. Soak a clean and soft cloth into the solution and gently apply it onto the cabinet. Now use the cloth for rubbing and cleaning the unit; use gentle strokes while doing so. Concentrate particularly on cleaning areas around the drawer pulls, knobs and hinges. Finally, rinse the cabinet using plain water so that no residue of the vinegar solution is left. Often grim and dirt buildups causes formation of sticky areas within cabinets. If your cabinet is facing similar issues, use a paste prepared by mixing water and baking soda to clean it. Apply the paste onto the sticky areas and scrub those parts gently using a sponge. This will eliminate the grimes effectively; finally rise the cabinet thoroughly using plan water. Never clean wooden cabinets Manhattan using harsh chemicals or any cleaning solution contains harsh chemicals. If you do so you might ends up removing the cabinet’s protective finish. Whatever may be the solution you have prepared for cleaning the cabinet never forget to test it on a small area of the unit. If you find that the solution is causing any adverse reaction, avoid using it.
