In New Orleans retaining walls are available of different types Retaining walls are quite powerful and they are made up of simple stones which are stacked and blocked and also timbered. They are good systems and careful systems which work against the gravity and avoid the situations like landslides and hillside which is very important so as to avoid the accidents and cause of deaths because of the landslides which can be avoided y properly constructing the roads that crosses the hills and goes. In New Orleans retaining walls are constructed and engineered in different ways so that they react to the conditions properly and also at the right time. They are well constructed so as to restrain a large amount or tons of soil which can become lump and may even slide down and create a landslide. Common problems of retaining walls The retaining walls are basically the barriers for the soil that lumps down and cause a hillside and where the rains are high which forces the sol to slope down, these retaining walls acts as a support and restrains the soil from coming down. There are different types of retaining walls depending upon its structure. The first one is the timber retaining wall and the next one is the interlocking blocks where interlocked block of stones are used and the next type is the stacked stone and others includes brick or either a concrete one. All these are the types of the retaining walls and New Orleans retaining walls comprises of all of these and depending on the conditions different types of retaining walls are used.
