If not, you might be losing a good amount of money just for not paying enough attention at the massive data stream presented in those channels.It’s the new social media! There is a slide presentation by Maggie Fox entitled “Why Marketers Will Rule the World” explaining in more details what could happen if you are not prepared for this big new social media revolution that is inserted in today’s society.And the right analysis of this data can give to marketers all around the world an incredible power, but the question to be asked is:how prepared are they to make profits in this new era? New Social Media and Marketing Tools And it is a new era! Today we have available at the palm of our hands so many social media marketing tools that in fact, we could build entire businesses strategies based on the signals provided by the voice of customers via social media channels.And that is why Ihave to ask this again:How prepared are marketers to face this new era? In a matter of fact, most of them are not prepared at all to the new social media.Even if they are afraid to lose some great opportunities, new customers, big exposure, branding, they cannot see the importance of the Marketing Technologist – which is someone who are able to deal simultaneously with business strategy and technology besides, with the special ability to mix those topics together by analyzing in a marketing perspective.And this is a much more professional approach. New Social Media and Old Concepts But we have to review some far more basics concepts about marketing before, some concepts that you for sure MUST master.Thanks to the power of Social Media, now more than ever you have to master the secrets of storytelling.Iam saying this because we are all looking for engagement.We need an engaged audience, we want customers, readers, visitors being thrilled about what we are telling them.That is why we cannot fake be someone else! Always be yourself; with emotion, and always deliver the message with some sort of empathy.We are in a new social media atmosphere.Be careful with the way you are delivering your message, because this is your change to attract new and recurring customers for the business you are in. And because we are using so many Social Media channels, we have to figure out the best way to analyze all the data.And here an interesting fact, accordingly with Avinash Kaushik who is a Google’s digital marketing evangelist, the ideal breakdown for data resources should be 65% analysis, 15% data capture and 20% reporting.And here lives the problem, because most of the time marketers are much more focus on capturing data! Of course, for capturing data we just have to use some tools and we are good to go, but the analysis is a little more complicated, because it is just after the analysis that we are able to visualize some actionable steps to be implemented within the strategy we are using. In fact, this analytical sensibility is one of the causes that some marketers will not succeed in their careers.Data analyzing is a skill which is not so easy to master, but it is essential for success online and offline.
