Dear Neighbors, We regret the lack of updates but it took longer than anticipated to complete the sign bylaw and landscape buffer regulations. Both of the proposed bylaws are available on www.auburnguide.com (simply click on the link for Town Government on the left side on the main page then click on Planning) and by August 17, 2007 on our consultant’s website www.cmrpc.org (simply cursor over to Community Development then select Auburn Bylaws , in addition hard copies can be viewed at the Auburn Public Library, Planning Office and Town Clerk’s office during normal business hours. We have provided copies of our research materials as well as the draft bylaws to the Planning Board, Zoning Board of Appeals and the Building Inspector’s office. The committee has received comments from the Zoning Board and Building Inspector. The committee has made revisions based on that feedback. Now that the in house review has been substantially completed we would like to hear from the townspeople. You may provide feedback in several ways by emailing us directly at email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org, and by sending a letter to MPIC, 104 Central St, Auburn, MA 01501. The Master Plan Committee will be hosting a public forum on Tuesday September 27, 2007 at 7pm in the Board of Selectmen’s room to discuss these proposals and we invite you to attend. What are we working on now? The MPIC has completed a draft of the Drury Sq village district bylaw which will be available soon, outlined the mixed use district bylaw, and are researching the land trust bylaw. As part of the land trust bylaw discussion we have invited Colin Novick from the Greater Worcester Land Trust to speak with the committee on September 18, 2007 at 7pm in the Board of Selectmen’s room. The MPIC will be inviting town officials and board members to attend. The Master Plan Implementation Committee is a subcommittee of the Planning Board st rd and meets on the 1 and 3 Tuesday of the month at 7pm in the Planning Board Room. We invite members of the public to attend our meetings and share their ideas. The committee is currently working on the last 3 out of 6 tasks the Planning Board assigned to us as mentioned above.
