Key Accomplishments: Upon hire date, reviewed and reconciled the books within three or four months, which were out of balance due to a change in systems and improper accounting practices. Enhanced spreadsheets for sales and use tax, management fees, bank reconciliations, and balance sheet account reconciliations. Established professional working relationships with Accounting firms, the General Manager of each hotel, and all of the banks used by the company. Set controls in place both at the Executive and hotel level to increase the efficiencies of the financial and accounting processes. Even with the company doubling the number of opened hotels, thorough streamlining efficiencies, we continued to accomplish all accounting in-house and without hiring more accountants or additional staff.
