HW #1 ENGR 2300001 Survey – Rodrigo Balmaceda My name is Rodrigo Balmaceda, I live at 1600 Eldridge Pkwy #702 in Houston, TX 77077. My telephone number is (832)4072389, my personal email address is firstname.lastname@example.org and I can be reached at either one. I am a Mechanical Engineering major, and I am really happy with it so far. It is my second semester at UTD and I have only taken Calculus I and I took it at UTD. We learned differentiation, integration, series, and previously in high school I learned vectors, matrices, etc. I have a very low GPA at the moment of around 2.5, but I know for a fact I can recover from it. A lot went wrong last semester and I have 7 more to fix it. I need to recover from my drop in GPA last semester so I am a bit concerned about how difficult it might be to get an A in this course. I plan to do all of my homework ahead of time and get any extra credit that is offered to me – especially the portfolio that is due at the end. I am taking 16 credit hours loaded with difficult courses – I did this because I don’t have as much soccer as I do in the fall so I want to take advantage of it. I do not have a job right now but I’m looking to get one very soon. It might be at a restaurant where tips will help with my paycheck, if not there, I’ll look at somewhere like vineyard vines or lulu lemon because their stores are always really nice. I plan to graduate from UTD and if possible continue playing soccer somewhere else. However, if that is not the case, I plan to start developing some of my own projects that I am working on at the moment and will continue to work on in the future. I am from Mexico City (born and raised), I play soccer here at UTD and have played since the age of three. If I had unlimited money I would travel the world and learn about different cultures until I decided it was time to settle, then I’d give most of my money to my parents because they have done so much for me.
