rd  In 1974 at the 63 Legislature after meeting for 150 days the convention failed by three votes  In 1975 at the 64 Legislature eight amendments were approved, but were overwhelmingly defeated by voters Q: What is the cultural and historical basis of the Texas Constitution?  Government regulation of economic and social relationships  Schools were centralized  Combination of many of the things that were granted in the first six constitutions
