French 101 Week 3 Notes (this week really was a review. Didn’t really learn a lot this week because we had to prepare for oral test coming up soon, so notes are not going to be divided into days) *Review pages 6, 8, 10,12, 14, 16-17, 20, 22, 26-27, 32, 34 (for oral test) Remember to introduce yourself and know how to be able to ask how you feel and how others feel Ex. Bonjour! Je m’apelle ____ . Comment allez-vous? (trés bien, bien, assez bien, pas mal, pas trés bien) Numbers!!! 0-50 50 is cinquante (secaunt/almost like second) Alphabet All 26 letters, and know the pronunciation for each G = zhe J = gee E = eoh U = oo K = cah (these are some letters I get really confused to pronounce) Weekdays and Schedule Le (day of week in french)= every (day of week in English) Lundi- Monday Mardi- Tuesday Mercredi- Wednesday Jeudi- Thursday Vendredi- Friday Samedi- Saturday Dimanche- Sunday Le matin- in the morning L’aprés-midi- in the afternoon Le soir- evening Le noir- night Avant- before Aprés- after C’est quel jour- what day is it Aujourd’hui- today C’est- it is Quel- what Du… au….: from…. To…… Know how to talk about yourself, describe your schedule Use: - je suis - je habite - je parle - je pense que - etc. Time Il est (hour) heur (minutes). (if it’s noon, it’s il est midi. No heure needed) - quart: 15 min mark - demi: 30 min mark know how to communicate in class and use the verbs we learned - ouvrez: open - fermez: close - écoutez: ask (a question) - répondez: answer - écrivez: write - prenez: take out - faites: do (exercise) - lisez: read Know adjectives and it’s appropriate gender role Review is all in pages 32, 34 WHOLE REVIEW OF VOCABULARY AND PHRASES IS ON 26-27!!!!!
