ANTH 320 Notes 4/26/16 - Imagination important in this class o Able to imagine world without development - Diversity is important in talking about development Final Exam Notes: - Question 1 o Pick 20 terms from key terms dictionary o Group them into different themes Any amount of themes is fine, but suggested 3-5 different themes Make enough so you have something to write about o Explain/describe themes chosen o Go further than dictionary definitions of terms Don’t have to use exactly what it says Allowed to have different definition o Clarity is key - Question 2 o What makes project reasonable: Morality- its what’s right Discourse aligns with experts Modeled after other projects o Why it won’t work examples: Historically never works Excludes women Won’t work without government support - Question 3 o Use imagination to propose different project Innovation, beyond convention Empathy- walk in someone else’s shoes What would it actually look like What would people want Perception: concrete way it would play out, how to measure it o Explain why new proposal matters to you o Pick from alternatives that we read about Can create you own, but allowed to do something else
