The trends that are affecting the modern social structure of today’s society is that we have become a selfentitled, undisciplined and sensitive country.  A lot of the  modern problems have developed through the course of time by impeding on the rights  that are already existing but no one wants to earn them or accept them.  People do not  want to admit their own faults and blame others.  There are plenty of things that are  wrong with today’s society and if we allow them to continue we will see an ultimate  crumble of the culture and society. Modern society has turned into a selfentitled country.  The people of the United  States have forgotten and do not know what it is like to struggle for independence.  We  have not seen an armed conflict within borders since World War II.  The people have  forgotten the price it costs for freedom and what it takes to maintain it.  We came  together for a sense of unity and a cause to keep our rights in check.  The events on  September 11, 2001 were tragic however no American realizes that the rest of the world has been fighting the entire time and realizes what it takes to maintain it.  There are  more selfentitlement now more than ever, Americans think that because this has  happened we are entitled to do whatever we want.  Politicians have forgotten that they  represent the people.  The people have forgotten what decency is, what respect is,  honor, courage, and the commitment to maintain our freedoms.  We allow Hollywood to  run our country and allow people like Miley Cyrus to give unintellectual opinions and  feed our culture.  It is okay now to be disrespectful and demand that our rights be  allowed to do so.  It is okay to for men to be women and women to be men, it has come  to the point where political correctness supersedes science. All of these problems arising have come to the point to where we are fearful of  what our children have seen.  It has come to the point to where disciplining our children  has become wrong.  It has become to the point to where I do not feel safe outside of my house without exercising my second amendment.  It has come to the point to where I’m  being insensitive for calling a woman “Ma’am” and she tells me I identify as a man.   Where I am fearful to take my child into a bathroom because I do not know who is going to be in there or if it I am going to be persecuted for being in the wrong area.  There  seems to be no safety left in the world without it coming with a price to pay.  Having the  law tell me that I am not allowed to spank my child because she is misbehaving in  public is a disrespect on myself. It is basically telling parents that you do not need to  teach your child respect or selfcontrol in public because it causes damage to the child.   If we look at our past and how children were raised we do not see as many child  criminals.  Therefore having ever changing trends in the world is going to be never ending,  but we can learn from them and hopefully change the wrongs in the world to make it a  better place for our future generations.  Rather than blaming violent video games or TV  for why our children committing crimes at such a young age we should look to the  parenting styles and the laws governing parents and place the responsibility on the  individual rather than other people.
